Welcome to Pingouinvillas, Blue-Bay, Mauritius. This comfortable and air-conditioned modern bungalow surrounded by a small garden in the shade of tropical trees is located in the south-east of Mauritius near Mahebourg village and is accessible within 8 minutes drive from the airport. Blue-Bay is the most popular seaside resort in the south of the island with its fine golden sand and turquoise lagoon surrounded by coral reefs. Pingouinvilla is within 5 minutes walk from the beach. At Pingouinvilla, we offer one main type of lodging: namely bungalow suitable for a small family. The bungalow comprises of: 3 bedrooms, 2 of them are provided with balcony; a well furnished living room with T.V set; a fully equipped kitchen; a dining room a modern bathroom; 2 separates toilets; a well ventilated terrace in front of the bungalow. The large balcony of the studio offers a panoramic view of Blue-bay lagoon, Cocos Island, the Airport, Shandrani Hotel and Grand-port Mountain ranges.

You will be able to enjoy the peaceful lagoon and the beach of Blue-Bay. Interesting excursions, outings at sea and visit of the nearby islets are also organised. Other activities available are: deep-sea diving, big game fishing, water-ski, etc ..If you enjoy cooking, you can prepare your own food in the bungalow. Alternatively, you can dine in the neighbouring hotels and restaurants which offer all types of dishes. Supermarkets, commercial centre, open markets, waterfront, bank and cyber cafe are locate in the nearby village of Mahebourg which has played an important role in the history of the Island under the French occupation and where the Naval museum and the monument of the abolition of slavery can be visited. At Mahebourg, shopping of artisanal products is recommended. At Blue-Bay, tourists feel really at home because the people are very welcoming and safety is maintained at the highest standard. Excellent self catering flat in Blue Bay

The flat was great, spacious and clean. The rooms are fitted with fans, the kitchen has a large fridge and all amenities are included. There is also a safe to keep valuables. And the owner picked us up at the airport and dropped us off again (which was all included in the price for the flat). The flat is located only a 2 minute walk from the public beach which boasts a beautiful coral garden with plenty of colourful fish - no scuba necessary, everything can be seen by snorkling. You can also walk further up the beach and reach wonderfully secluded, perfect sandy beaches. The water in the first week of June was perfect, not too cold nor hot. The weather was also great, at a comfortable 27-28 degrees C. There is however only one restaurant in Blue Bay which is really good (and the owners are very friendly) but if you do want some variety and don't want to cook for yourself in the evenings you will need a car. Thankfully though you can hire these directly from the owner of the flat for £25 a day all insurance inclusive which is also a great way to explore the island. He then brings the car round in the morning, the car is a Nissan Micra automatic and is great for getting round the island.

All in all - a great holiday and a comfortable stay.

'I am Mrs. Roxy from the south of U.K and I have spent a nice holiday during my stay in Mauritius at Pingouinvillas.
The owner has given me a warm welcome at the airport and the transfer from the airport to Pingouinvillas was already included in the rate. He is very welcoming and he has offered us the best hospitality we didnt expect.
On our first day, he brought my husband and me to the supermarket and he was always here to give the best advice about interesting places to visit in the south of Mauritius. As a conclusion, Pingouinvillas is a recommended place to stay in Mauritius at an affordable price.
