The best beach in Mauritius

We highly recommend this property. If you are looking for an authentic Mauritian experience with warm hospitality on what has to be the best beach in paradise then this is the place to be! We have just returned recently from a fantastic 4 week holiday at this delightful villa & it was the best holiday ever!
Situated in an affluent area of the island, this villa is spacious, well equipped & is kept spotless at all times. It's bright & airy feel makes it suitable for beach living. We felt right at home here with the comfortable decor and enjoyed every opportunity to relax on the beach & visit the island whilst the cooking and housework were taken care of.
The WOW factor has to be the beach, it seriously takes your breath away! Being keen beach lovers & with many travel miles under our belts to some of the finest beaches in the world, we can honestly say that the beach of Pointe D'esny has to be right up there as one of the finest we have ever seen. There is a lovely gentle breeze on this side of the island which we considered to be a godsend but you have to be careful because you don't feel yourself burning.
We lived an idyllic lifestyle and looked forward to our daily rituals. Every morning we were visited by the vegetable man on his almost unrecognisable motorbike burdened with vegetable & fruit baskets. He had just about everything you could possibly ask for & if there was anything he didn't have, "no problem" as they say in Mauritius, he'd make a plan. Then came the lovely smiles of Salonie & Sylvette who looked after the servicing of the villas on the property & who were partly responsible for the kilos we put on from all the delicious cooking. The breadman and his French baguettes came next & we even had a local fisherman visit us a few times a week with oysters, fish, prawns, lobster and the highlight being the mangrove crab, yum yum! We are indebted to Hugues for parting with his secret recipe:-) We shopped for everything we needed in the buzzing town of Mahebourg which is only 5 minutes away by car & 10 minutes by bus.The supermarkets have everything you could find at home & there is plenty of clothing and souvenir shops.Blue Bay is amazing for snorkelling & boat excursions & is only a 20 minute walk away.
Noele reassured us at the time of booking that the proximity of the airport would not affect our stay.We were pleased that we did not have to sit through hours of traffic after a long flight & could spend our precious time on the beach.
