Kotor Holiday

Not long back from our 2 week holiday in Kotor and we loved every moment of it.
The apartment was centrally located in the old town (we found this great, but if you want lots of quiet early nights, maybe not right for you due to noise, although we expected it to be louder than it was from what we had read/told). The property it self was large, slept 6 and was clean, well maintained and well equiped and also included a hair dryer. The towels we're changed after a week.
Kotor was a lovely town to explore, but also well located to explore surrounding towns and villages. We relied heavily on the local buses and found them excellent, even taking a trip to Dubrovnik one day. The restaurant and bars in Kotor are great. Mainly italian and fish orientated. There was a small supermarket in the square of the apartment to get essentials, and a bigger supermarket on the bay.
Organised trips can be arranged in Budva, and the tour reps we're very accomadating e.g. we booked a boat tour of the bay and meet everyone at Tivat bay (where the boat trip started) rather than travelling to Budva to catch a bus and then to go back to Tivat. There wasn't a tour rep in Kotor, although near the end of our holiday we saw a poster advertising trips/kayaking on the bay within Kotor and we phoned them and did the kayaking- the man that we hired it from was very friendly and came and picked us up in the old town. He said he could arrange any trips for us and the prices we're very reasonable (same as the reps in Budva) unfortunately we found him at the end of our holiday otherwise we would have used him more.
Would love to go back to Kotor again in the future, recommend going now as at the moment the english haven't discovered it and therefore not full of tourists, but feel they will soon! (there are alot of Russian/French tourists).
