Light, bright apartment situated on the top two floors of a 17th century Venetian old stone house fronting the sea. Newly decorated, with stripped pine flooring and air-conditioning. Huge roof terrace, with table that seats 12, sun beds and umbrellas - the perfect place for sunbathing after an early morning swim... Quiet seaside village, with minimarket and small restaurants, cafe, post office and bakery... Awarded 4 stars (Highest rating) by the Montenegro Tourist Board

Prcanj is a small stone village on the waterfront, just a ten minute drive from the charming medieval walled city of Kotor, with its marina, cafes, restaurants, nightlife and open air market...Prcanj is where Lord Byron stayed when he described Montenegro as 'The Pearl of the Adriatic' and the village is dominated by a magnificent Catholic church. It has a village shop which sells fresh bread and basics and various small restaurants. There are hillside walks and ruined churches up the mountainside and the clear clean sea right on your doorstep... Local people are helpful and friendly and it is possible to rent a boat and sail from the small stone punta outside the house. The excellent restaurant and swimming pool at the Splendido hotel are a 5 minute walk away, and the historic island church and Unesco protected village of Perast 10 minutes across the bay in a boat.

Best terrace in Montenegro...

The views from the terrace are incredible! 6 of us stayed here last summer for a week and the terrace was the high point - we ate, sunbathed and barbecued on it, only disappearing downstairs to plunge straight into the sea and return! Only a 10 minute drive to Kotor, we hired a boat and actually hardly used the car. Convenient minimarket next door and also local restaurants. The apartment is bright and sunny and newly done up - comfortable and quiet. We had a great time...

We spent a lovely week at this apartment at the end of July. It was bright and sunny, well decorated, well equipped and very clean. The location was excellent and the terrace was superb - surely the best in the village - with fabulous views over the bay. The owner was extremely helpful prior to our stay, providing plentiful, useful information about the area, places to eat etc. The stairs to two of the bedrooms would be difficult for small children.

LOVELY PLACE - WORTH A VISIT

I stayed here with my husband and two freinds in July for two weeks. The apartment is lovely - nicely decorated, good bedding, a wonderful terrace and the air conditioning is wonderful! The shop next door is handy, the sea opposite great for swimming and Kotor a manageable walk away. The stairs to the second two bedrooms are v steep and not v desireable for small children - but a great place for 4-6 adults. There's no iron so worth taking a travel one if you think you'll need it. Overall, a really very nice base for a holiday.
