Essaouira is a captivating 18th century seaside town enclosed by battlements, where culture and nature blend effortlessly together. With its whitewashed houses, untouched beauty and unique medina, its one of the most attractive sites in Morocco. With its close proximity to Marrakech, the town's other main assets are its long sandy beaches and the trade winds that give it an exceptionally mild climate all year round. The town's rich traditions make it a meeting point for Moroccan, African and international arts and crafts. These include numerous festivals and gatherings, such as the internationally renowned Gnaoua Festival.

Comments from Owner Guestbook
Dear Nina,
Just a quick mail to say that we are now back in the UK after a wonderful week in Essaouira. The house was beautiful and Fatima and her son Mehdi looked after us all very well. Fatima took really good care of us and was a great doctor bringing us 'old Moroccan cures' passed down through the family! Fatima was always prompt with breakfast and eternally cheerful. We never actually met Khalid, but Rachid was also extremely helpful and informative.
