Meals, wine and drinks, and airport transfers are included in the rental - it's like an exclusive hotel where you are the only guests. The walled gardens cover 8,500 square metres, with 300-year-old olive trees, a magnificent rose garden, 5,000 square metres of lawns, and a 20m pool with pool house. The main house has large high-ceiling rooms round an internal courtyard and fountain. The master bedroom with king-size bed has two bathrooms and dressing rooms, and home cinema DVD entertainment. The second house has a living room and master bedroom with en suite bathroom, and breakfast kitchen. There is A.C. in both houses. If you only rent one house the other will not be rented, and the whole property will be exclusively yours.

Notes to the rental rates

• Above rates are for 2 people, including all meals (except two per week, to be agreed with the cook). For 4 people, in both houses, the rate is 3500 euros and 3900 euros at Xmas and New Year.
  

Accommodation and Facilities for the villa in Morocco

The staff

The friendly staff at La Pivoine ensure the perfect Moroccan experience. Rabia is the caretaker and cook, and lives elsewhere on the property, as does Allal the night watchman. Rabia specialises in Moroccan and French cuisine - she will be full of ideas for what you might like to eat, or you can tell her exactly what you do want. There is a driver to pick you up at the airport, and drop you off there (both are included in the rental rate) who can also act as your taxi-driver around Marrakech or tour guide for the day.

What is included

Included in the rental rates are: - airport transfers by taxi; house cleaning, meal service and laundry; bedding, towels and bath robes; breakfast, lunch and dinner except two dinners or lunches each week to be agreed upon with Rabia the housekeeper; local red, white and rosé wines, and aperitifs (only champagne will be charged extra). If you are only renting the second house, only breakfast is included, and the weekly rate comes down to 1250 euros.

The furnishings and decoration

This is called luxury accommodation, not just because of the grandeur of the gardens and buildings, but also the furnishings and decorations, down to the lighting, bathroom fittings and trinkets. Everything is of the highest quality, designed for a very exacting owner who uses La Pivoine from time to time and does not want to be reminded of the imperfections of the world.
