This mature villa is a gem. Perfect for a mixed family group.The pool is bigger than it looks in the photo and the garden is extensive and beautifully planted with mature trees and shrubs providing a mixture of sun and shade. The gentle birdsong and the occasional tortoise adds to the charm. It is an oasis of calm within walking distance of the medina walls but the times in the description refer to driving times, not walking. Taxis are cheap if you agree a price before getting in! They can be hailed from the end of the road or picked up outside the clinic down the street.

Breakfasts were superb with different Moroccan delicacies each day, eaten outside under a parasol (October). For evening meals there are hotels and restaurants in neighbouring streets. We did not do any self catering as the kitchen is in poor condition and seems to be the domain of the staff who did not understand our French! The owner came to welcome us so any clarification of catering arrangements can be made with her. It wasn't a problem as we preferred to try different restaurants each evening.

If you are going to Marrakech in a group Villa Diane is a delightful alternative to staying in a Riad with the added bonus of a pool and plenty of space to relax.
