'We have really enjoyed our stay here. We particularly liked the new dock which was the focal point for swimming, sunbathing, fishing and kayaking. The house itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's location is fantastic. We will miss watching the bird arrivals from the sundeck. Thanks for a great stay.' 'A marine biologist's delight - from the multitude of hermit crabs - the VERY, VERY quick fiddler crabs, the spider crabs - the visit from the watermen to the scallop beds - the shrimp - type still to be identified - our field trip was busy this week! 'The house & The North Fork were great places to unwind after a hectic few days in Manhattan. Although it's still early Spring, we enjoyed bright, clear days (enough sun for me to get a sun burnt scalp!) and had great walks at Mashomack (Shelter Island) and Orient Beach, the highpoint of which was seeing the first Ospreys arrive at their nests.
We'd have liked to spend more time in/ on the water (although Joe did jump in off the dock dared by his brother and sister!) - but that can wait for another time!'

Golf:
There are many local golf courses within a short drive, both private and public, including Islands End Golf Course in Greenport, New York, a short 10 minute dive away. The third hole at this pubic course overlooks Peconic Bay. What more could you want? Other public courses in the area include Long Island National, Calverton links, Cherry Creek, Cherry Creek Woods. Montauk Downs is about 60 minutes away.
