One and two bedroom apartments, sleep 1 to 7, with sleeper couch in separate living room. Private bath, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen provide all necessities for a relaxing and inexpensive holiday in New York City. The apartment is located in the historic Park Slope/Windsor Terrace neighbourhood of Brooklyn, designated 1 of 10 best places to live in the US by the American Planning Association. Manhattan is just a 20 minute ride on the nearby F subway line. The building is a quick walk to the landmark Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Brooklyn Museum of Art. Local shops, a supermarket, movie theatre, and good restaurants offer all amenities for your visit. The Academy Award winning film 'As Good As It Gets' was filmed just around the corner. The building owner and superintendent are located on the premises. Apartment is also and special monthly rates can also be arranged.

I have just returned from my 3rd stay in Terrace Tower, 11th Ave, Brooklyn. The 1st time was Oct 2010, a beautiful time of the year here when the trees lining the avenues are vibrant and the front stoops are decorated with pumpkins and lanterns; the 2nd time was during the heat of this summer; the 3rd an unplanned, extended stay caused by Hurricane Irene. Fortunately, Roger, the owner, had an apartment free and at just two hours' notice, very oblingingly accommodated 4 stranded travellers! All 3 apartments, the 1-bedded ones and the 2-bedded one are very well equipped. Pans, crockery, cutlery, comfortables beds and counches, a large fridge, TV, CD players are very much needed air conditioning help to make us feel at home in this beautiful and prestigious part of Brooklyn, where we never felt like tourists. Little touches like soap and individual sets of towels, napkins and even soap powder and washing up liquid are very appreciated. The laundry room is superb. Being on site, Roger is often available and very friendly and amenable. He always responded immediately to any emails I sent. The location couldn't be better. It is safe and Park Slope has been voted Brooklyn's No.1 place to live and just 5 minutes from the F train, I don't understand why anyone would wish to stay in an anonymous, expensive Manhattan hotel, when you can live amongst the residents of the iconic brownstones of Brooklyn. The subway easily takes you to Manhattan, Queens, Coney Island or Williamsburg. Buses are nearby to get to Red Hook to have a famous key lime pie. It's easy to reach both JFK or La Guardia. There is no need for taxis. There are many amenities close by- a supermarket immediately across the road, Rhythm & Booze, a friendly local pub and Prospect Ave, 7th Ave and 5th Ave will leave you spoilt for choice for restaurants and other shopping treats. I recommend Le P'tit Paris and Couleurs Cafe on 7th Ave and Canaille and The Chocolate Room on 5th Ave. Prospect Park, Brooklyn's answer to Central Park is at the end of the street and the Botanic Gardens is a delightful place to see flowers, birds and butterflies. I am already wondering when I can come again and even after 3 visits there are still places I have yet to see in Brooklyn. I cannot recommend these apartments highly enough and I would not stay anywhere else in New York.

The location was perfect for us and found the apartment very comfortable, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks for your help with the couple of questions we had - it was the first time I had every booked accommodation outside of New Zealand and was very pleased with the out-come.

A Great Find

The apartment was as described and bigger than it looked on the pictures. It was very clean and well maintained. Roger was helpful and flexible about our departure time. The supermarket opposite the apartments was convenient, opened long hours and well stocked. The area immediately surrounding the block felt very safe. We felt it was great value for money! Thanks Roger - we had a wonderful week!

Great Brooklyn base for family holiday

I was really nervous booking a place over the Internet so it was such a relief to find that not only did the apartment actually exist (!), but it was just as it was described on the website.

We rented the 2 bedroom apartment for our family of 4. It was perfect - clean and tidy, well located ( having the supermarket across the road was great) and in such a lovely neighborhood! We felt really safe walking home from the subway at night (about 7 or 8 mins walk) and having Prospect Park up the road was lovely too.

The apartment was really comfortable and there was plenty of space to unwind after the craziness that is Manhattan. In fact some days my kids didn't want to leave!

Roger, the landlord, was very helpful and it was good to know he was around in case anything went wong (it didn't!)

Like the other reviewer, I'd also recommend it as a great value option for a family visiting NYC.

Terrific value for money !

The apartment ticked every box for my wife and I. It is in a safe and quiet part of Brooklyn, less than five minutes from the nearest subway station. Transfer to the middle of Manhattan in around 30 minutes for all the tourist sights there.
The apartment itself was spacious, clean, quiet and most importantly Roger, the owner, was on site and was very helpful when required.
A wonderfully stocked supermarket is just across the street which is very convenient and Prospect Park less than a five minute walk and well worth a stroll around.
If we ever visit New York again I would have no hesitation in renting this apartment again and would recommend others to do so if they like to spend their vacation time away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan but within an easy 30 minute subway ride.
