Traditional grass roofed Norwegian log cabins, set in the mountain forest overlooking the Sognefjord. The Wooden Cabin sleeps 5 & the stone cabin sleeps 4 (additional mattresses, baby travel cot and hire chair available upon request). Big cabin sleeps 12. Cabins are self-catering, built to an extremely high standard and include all modern facilities; fitted kitchen, shower room/WC, log fire, under-floor heating and lashings of hot water. Bedlinen and towels available to hire. Our farm lies on the edge of the Stølsheimen National Park; breathtaking views of mountains & Sognefjord with walking trails for all abilities. Set in a stunning rural location, local wildlife includes deer, sea eagles & whales in the fjord. Rowing boat, fishing gear and bicycles available free upon request. 8-man outdoor hot tub available to hire. On our farm we have our own hydro-electric power plant which provides all our electricity and a working water mill dating back to the 1749.

Sleeps up to 12. The diamond shaped panoramic window covers the whole front of the cabin, this gives fantastic views over the Sognefjord. Sleeps up to 6 in beds, and up to 4 on mattresses the mezzanine floor. Perfect for a family holiday or group of friends. The cabin has a traditional grass roof. Cabin is self catering and sleeps up to 6 people in beds. Two bedrooms with double bed plus double sofa bed. up to 4 mattresses on the mezzanine floor, baby travel cot and high chair available upon request. Bedlinen and towels available to hire. Cabin has fully fitted kitchen with dish washer, shower room/WC, log fire, under-floor heating, lashings of hot water and decked terrace to the front. There is a BBQ available for your use and an 8-man outdoor hot tub available to rent. We offer free use of a rowing boat, fishing gear and bicycles. A car is recommended, although not absolutely necessary. It is a two and half hour drive from Bergen city centre (3 hours from Bergen Airport)

Ortnevik is on the south side of the Sognefjord, on the west coast of Norway. Most visitors start their holiday in Bergen, gateway to the fjords which is 2.5 hours drive away. Bergen Harbour is a World Heritage Site, in addition to this Bergen offers many other tourist attractions. Ortnevik offers sheltered family swimming in the bay for those with young children. In addition to this there is swimming in the fjord, a rowing boat, wind surfing, fishing and whale watching. Lying next to the Stølsheimen National Park there are walking trails for all abilities. Walking routes to Solrenningane start here in Ortnevik. There is a car ferry to Vik to the Stave Church, and on to the Flåm fjord, Flåm railway and glacier for day trips. Other possible day trips include the Salmon Museum at Lærdal and the Glacier Museum at Fjærland,
