Further details for the apartment in Krakow, Poland
Krakow is one of the jewels of Eastern Europe; a magical city situated in the southeast of the country, between the Jura uplands and the Tatra Mountains, on the banks of the Wisla (Vistula) River. It has one of the best-preserved medieval city centres in Europe. Dozens of churches cover almost every architectural period and are surrounded by monasteries and abbeys – walking through the Old Town streets is like drifting back through the musty pages of an historical novel.
The city’s cultural heritage is mirrored in its intellectual achievements – the Jagiellonian University is the oldest in Poland. The student population of the city numbers almost 100,000 and this large student population fires a lively nightlife scene that burns brightly in the atmospheric cellar bars away from the tourists above.
Krakow enjoys a temperate climate with features of both European marine west coast and continental conditions of Eastern Europe. Days are longest in June, hottest in July, and most beautiful in August. Krakow’s perfect springs fill the city with sweet-smelling blossoms from mid April through May. The famed Polish “golden autumns” bring dry and warm weather amid rich colours of dying leaves from mid September to mid October or so. And Christmas in Krakow is positively white.

The apartment is decorated to a high standard with modern fittings and is very nice indeed.
It is situated within a pleasant area, with a small friendly bar just around the corner, local shops and a general market are also very close by. The trams were frequent and cheap, and travelling around Krakow was no problem at all. There is plenty to see (and buy) in the city and the locals were friendly and helpful. It is certainly worth exploring further afield if time permits. We were both very pleased with our first visit to Poland - Peter & Sheila Stray, Rickmansworth. * We had a great time in Krakow - the apartment is fantastic! - Kellie Mote, Edinburgh. * The apartment is well situated for a 10 minute walk home from the main square, just enough to walk off your dinner!! Very comfortable and very well equipped. Local shop and bar on the adjoining street. Perfect property to enjoy your stay in a great City - Ross McGowan, London. * The apartment was lovely - Sarah Basset, London
