Albufeira's Old town hides a selection of locally renowned restaurants, preparing the regions most delicious fresh seafood and cataplana (grilled sardines, a local specialty).
For evening entertainment, The Strip in the new beach side of Albufeira, has every conceivable bar and club, accounting for all tastes, long into the night.

Away from The Strip in Albufeira, there are two resorts with fantastic golfing facilities on site. Balacia, a golf village has a nine hole par 3 course with some considerable hazards, six swimming pools, gyms, jacuzzi, steam room, massage centres and of course, is situated with good access to beaches. The other golfing resort is at Clube Albufeira Resort, which has facilities for almost any request!
Guia and Sao Rafael are two gems along the Albufeira coastline. Guia is a tiny, delicate village, with no hustle and exquisite cuisine. It is certainly worth visiting, even if you decide to take a holiday villa elsewhere along the coast. Sao Rafael is also on the coast, and has hidden sandy beaches, cliff walks and some of the freshest fish on the region.
