Thing to do on holiday in Carvoeiro, Algarve

The first thing to see when staying in a Carvoeiro villa in the Algarve, is the Algar Seco. Situated 750m from the main town square, and through a cliff tunnel, you emerge in the mouth of a cave with a spectacular beach view.

From the beach, you can rent a boat to go and explore the coastline, or go deep-sea fishing for marlin, swordfish or tuna. Of course, that is if you wish to leave the beach or your rented Carvoeiro villa at all! There is local access to golf courses, and plenty of sporting activities to entertain the family.

Clube Golfemar is a holiday resort with many facilities, including pools, tennis club, bowls, gym, and golf, and on site Carvoeiro villas. The is also a 9 hole course on site, and there are two 18 hole courses within a short drive.

Areias dos Moinhos was one of the first developments along this coast, and is only a 15 minute walk from Carvoeiro’s centre. For a golfing holiday, Vale de Milho and Vale de Centianes have all the facilities required for a sensational golfing holiday.
