Deposits can be paid in pounds and directly into a UK bank account. Balance of payment in advance, payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Arrivals on any day of the week, flights are usually cheaper midweek. Access to apartment 15.00h on day of arrival, vacating time is 10.00 hours on day of departure. Tenants are fully responsible for breakages or damage.

This one-bedroom apartment is part of a traditional Portuguese style apartment block, which has 6 apartments in total, all individually owned. By renting this apartment, a very unique way to spend a holiday in the Algarve in Portugal, will be experienced. This apartment has a communal entrance on the ground floor, with a separate entrance to the apartment on the first floor and has an enclosed terrace/balcony area. The apartment is fully furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, crockery and cutlery. Apartment Baccalau offers their clients a cool indoor reclusive experience with wonderful views and sea accessibility in summer, in winter a cosy sunny position with wonderful views of the sea, countryside and village. A perfect setting to get away from it all. There is ample parking on the road very nearby the apartment. Faro airport is approximately a 50-minute drive from Apartment Baccalau

Car hire, taxi and local information

For guests wishing to rent a car, there are a number of local car hire firms offering very comparative rates, with efficient and personal service. There are quite a few firms offering their hire cars on the Internet making it easy to compare rates and service levels. You can collect your car at Faro airport. A taxi can also be reserved from Faro airport, to bring you to Apartment Baccalau. The cost is approximately 50 euros,(in the evenings and weekend, the service is more) however, alternative arrangements can be made, should you require this service at a cheaper rate. The journey usually takes about 50 minutes. There are a number of restaurants and snack bars in Benagil. In Carvoeiro a short 5 minute drive away, there are many restaurants and bars to choose from. However approximately 50 metres from Apartment Baccalua are two very good Portuguese restaurants. There is a mini market a short walk or drive away which stocks all basic requirements.

Area Description and Sport

There are a number of excellent walks around the cliffs and village of Benagil. This stretch of coastline offers an exhilarating walking experience along the cliff tops and valleys, offering some of the most stunning coastal views in Europe. Benagil is a small fishing hamlet in a narrow ravine, which drops down to the beach. The Algarve is a region renowned for its wonderful sunny climate, miles of golden pristine beaches, either long stretches of beach or intimate little coves with stunning rock formations. The Algarve has an averageof 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. Thus there are many sporting and water sport attractions in the area. Golf is a very popular past-time, with about 35 golf courses along the approximately 160 kms of coastline. Most of the golf courses are withing a 45-minute drive of the apartment. Whatever your skills there is always a course for you to play on. Water parks, Zoomarine and the historical castle in Silves are all 10-30 minutes away by car.
