Property setting:
Set against the backdrop of the Atlantic ocean the apartments been constructed on an incline to take full advantage of the stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding countryside. It is surrounded by mature gardens which give both shade and shelter during the long summer days .
Whilst the apartment has terraces there is also a communal BBQ and pool area where you can sip your cocktails and watch the sun go down while your dinner cooks.
The beautiful pool area offers sun loungers, tables and sunshades to allow you to while away those hot summer days in comfort.
From the end of the garden the secluded Albandeira beach is just 10 minutes walk away. This is one of the most picturesque beaches surrounded as it is by magnificent cliffs. It is a natural suntrap for those of you wishing to top up that tan .
Walking in the immediate area:
Algarve - Let's Walk was started by Julie Statham in response to visitors and residents who wanted to see more of the Algarve. The circular walks of two to two and a half hours are led by a qualified walk leader with the level of walking being easy to moderately easy. Walks are usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays and end up at a typical local restaurant where a leisurely lunch can be enjoyed after the exercise. Bird Watching:
Bird Watching in this area is excellent. Pera marshes just a short distance from the apartments offers a wide range of birds depending on the season, but including Purple Swamp Hen, Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Bee-Eater, Red-Necked Nightjar, Spoonhill, Black-Winged Silt, Black Terns and more.
At Alvor (20 mins drive) there is an area of disused saltpans adjacent to the estuary and good for viewing migrants and waders. In-land there are good sites on the way to Monchique with Buzzard, Short-Toed Eagle, Booted Eagle and Black Kite possible along with Dartford, Subalpine and Sardinian Warblers, Rock Buntings, Short Toed Treecreeper and Crested Tits.
