Situated in the Mato Serrão part of Carvoeiro, just one and half kilometres north west of the picturesque and highly popular resort centre, Vila Nova is an attractive, well maintained, low rise collection of thirty six apartments. 'Monchique'; is a ground floor apartment & has a spacious living/dining room with TV, video & DVD, CD/tape system, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms (one double, one twin) & two bathrooms (one en-suite). At the rear of the apartment is an enclosed private courtyard with patio furniture & BBQ. To the front of the apartment is an informal enclosed area with table and seating. Additional single beds, cots, high chair can be provided on request. The living room also has a wood-burning stove (for the cooler winter months). Ideal for family holidays, Vila Nova has a grassy children`s playground, a large inviting swimming pool plus a kids paddling pool, restaurant & snack bar, mini-market and reception. The Vila Nova restaurant is reputed for its fresh fish.

The journey time from Faro Airport to the Vila Nova Apartments when travelling directly by car is 45minutes. For new guests we are happy to provide full directions with clear signage. Vila Nova is situated close to many safe, sandy beaches, with the local beach within walking distance. The Carvoeiro Tennis Club and the large Intermarche supermarket are just a 5-min drive away. In Carvoeiro village (15 mins walk) there is an excellent choice of local shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, banks, a post office plus pharmacy, doctor and dentist (although we hope you won't need them!). There are also several world-class 18-hole courses close by including: Carvoeiro Golf; Pinta & Gramacho. Also in Carvoiero, Vale De MIlho provides the option of the shorter 9 hole course .Fun days out for the younger ones include, Slide 'n Splash (10 min drive), Crazy Golf World & Zoo (15 min drive) & Zoomarine (20 mins drive). The sites & surf beaches of the West Coast are also within an hour's drive.

Notes to the rental rates

  • Our quoted rates include the cost of gas, water and electricity used during your stay (see additional note below regarding electricity for winter bookings).  Bathroom towels and bed linen are supplied. These items will be cleaned at our cost following your departure (Please remember to bring your own towels for use at the pool or beach.)  Maid service is included once per week in peak season (1 June - 30 Sept).  Extra fold away beds (for occupancy up to 6 people) are available at an extra charge of £25 per bed per week.  A cot is available on request at an additional cost of £10.00 per week.  A high chair is available at no extra charge.
  • PLEASE NOTE:  Rental rates for January, February & March include use of mains water but do not include gas & electricity.  Supplies consumed during these months will be charged per usage with the meters being read on arrival and departure. There is a wood buning convection fire in the living room & logs can be purchased economically locally if required. CHECK IN/CHECK OUT TIMES:  You may CHECK IN at 3pm or earlier if the previous guests have not vacated the same morning.  The site management will allow you to store your luggage at reception and to use on site facilities if you arrive & are not able to check in to the apartment at that time. CHECK OUT TIME is 11am on the day of your departure.  If your flight is not until later in the day you will be able to use on site facilities, until you depart & if required your luggage can be kept at reception.    Favourable rates available for off-peak bookings of more than 3 weeks duration. Longer term winter lets offered at competitive rates.
  • PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS:  In the UK we accept payment by sterling cheque, in Portugal by euro cheque or bank transfer.  If you are travelling from any other country please ask us about payment options.   A non-refundable 25% deposit payment is required to secure a booking.   Please ensure you have travel insurance in place at the time of booking to cover you for cancellation, in the unlikely event that you have to withdraw from travelling for an insurable reason.   The balance of the rent, which is again non-refundable, is payable 2 calender months prior to the start of your holiday.  We will acknowledge receipt of payments.  If you rent our apartment in Jan, Feb or March, when gas & electricity is charged per usage, the site management will read the meters with you on arrival & departure & charge you per unit consumed.  Payment is required at check-out & not once you have returned to the UK & can be made in £ cash or euros directly to the site management team who provide a receipt.

'It was our first time in Portugal and we weren't disappointed it was fantastic family holiday with plenty to do in the area. We chose not to hire a car and didn't regret that decision as driving and parking in Carvoeiro was not the easiest. Plenty of lovely beaches and restaurants in walking distance. The Apartment was superb ,with everything you could possibly need for a holiday base and a lot more including satellite TV !! So much so that we booked for next year the day we got home'.
