Myself and my partner had a fantastic time in Carvoeiro. On looking around our apartment for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised. Its ideal for a family and has two balconies. At first we thought the lack of air con wouldnt be very nice as my partner is expecting a baby. But despite the outside temperate being 25-30c we found the apartment stayed fairly cool even with the windows/doors shut at night to keep out the mosquitoes.
The bathrooms were very clean and the maids did an excellent job.
The kitchen was very roomy and had everything we needed, fridge,cutlery, plates, salt/pepper and other oddments!
Lounge area with TV,great when we had a day out of the sun for watching the World Cup! Comfy sofas!
CAUTIONS to consider....
Showers can be VERY hot, so be careful before getting in!
Matresses were a little hard, but after cocktails, local fish and sangria, its the most comfortable bed in Portugal!
Outside the rear balcony, on the same level ,is an area of land jutting out the cliff face containing a family of chickens! Unfortunately for us, the cockerel(s) decided to call anywhere between 3am right the way up until 9-10am!!! Not good for light sleepers.
Getting into the apartment block from the outside was very tricky. The lock didnt engage straightaway and sometimes took a few minutes to enter

A lift to the apartments which was good for my pregnant partner, however two steps to climb before the lift, so not so good for wheelchair users?
Perfect apartment and location. Supermarket is 30 seconds walk away, beach another 2 minutes walk! The apartment blocks location is ideal for every type of family/person. It is within walking distance to bars/restaurants/town centre/taxi rank/shops/live music/beach. The town is brimming with life in the day and night. The pool is very deep and catches the sun all day. The pool has toilets and a childs pool.
In all we will definately be returning next year to the same place and I recommend if you havent been to Carvoeiro before...you must book this apartment!!!

Its hard to write bad points in a review (but a must!) when your holiday has been as enjoyable as ours!!!
I wouldnt reccommend this to my friends or family as they will steal our perfect getaway ;-)

Owner's Response: Stating the fact and not as a selling techniques the apartment, location and the town its in are perfect. I wish I could spend more time there myself and there is no comparison for the standard of service received or the quality of my experience when compared to my holidays in other European destinations. The chickens are new and the first time I had heard of it and I have been told that they are temporary and so will not be a factor in the peacefulness and tranquitity of the Carvoeiro apartment experence. Being so close to the sea the breeze is immense and therefore we decided that an air conditon is definitely not required. In summary a wholesome experience. Seeing is believing.
