This new apartment/townhouse is one of 24 in the exclusive Pedra Grande condominium complex, just 45 minutes from Faro airport. It is an 8 minute walk to Vale de Centeanes beach and the same to the challenging par 3 Vale de Milho golf course. Groceries, tennis, gym and internet access are just minutes away in the adjacent Rocha Brava compex using the private Pedra Grande entrance.

The apartment has four balconies and a large roof top terrace with barbecue. It is fully furnished and the kitchen has five appliances and a microwave. There are two bedrooms (queen and twin), two bathrooms (ensuite and main) and a spacious living/dining room with fireplace,Sky digital TV and DVD player.

There are 6 restruants/bars less than a 10 minute walk away and the charming town of Carvoeiro is only a 20 minute walk. The complex is surrounded by beautifully gardens and has a large swimming pool with sundeck.

Pedra Grande is situated just an 8 minute walk from both the Vale de Centeanes beach and the Par 3 Vale de Milho golf course. It is just a 20 minute walk into the centre of Carvoeiro. In the oposite direction to Carvoeiro is Carvolho Beach, a 15 minute walk to end of road then down the steep steps. The entrance is through a rock tunnel. If you continue walking you come to Benegil beach (which can also be accessed by car). Praia Grande Beach (close to Ferraguda) is 20 minutes by car and has 3 restruants (see painting on our wall of one of them).

Faro airport is a 45 minute drive away, while Lisbon and Seville airports are just over 2 hours away. Most of the drive from all three airports is on a motorway.

Activities: Pedra Grande is ideally suited for families and couples. It is not, unfortunately, an ideal location for singles wishing to enjoy the Carvoeiro night life.

The are some wonderful walking trails nearby along the rugged coast line, and there are two water slide parks and the marine zoo only a 20 minute drive away.

Sports: The tennis courts and exercise classes at Rocha Brava are a two minute walk away using the Pedra Grande private access to the Rocha Brava complex. Pedra Grande is in walking distance to the picturesque 9 hole course of Vale de Milho. Nearby is Pestana where there are two superb eighteen hole courses, Vale da Pinta and Quinta do Gramacho.

We have just returned from our wonderful holiday and we wanted to thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful apartment. It was indeed just like home, with all the mod cons needed for a clean and comfortable
stay, and so tastefully fitted. The standard of cleanliness does the housekeeper great justice. We were particularly impressed with your artwork. Notably the wonderful picture of you and Bill at the beach café, it seemed as if we had known you for years. What a lovely place Carvoeiro is, the walk into town and
back every evening was indeed worth it as we had lovely food and entertainment, and beautiful beaches in every direction. A Pedra Grande is a lovely peaceful little complex and we spent many a hot afternoon on the roof terrace and have a tan to prove it! It was very hard to say goodbye to it all and come home but we
are both keen to return in the future. Thank you once again for all your kind help. David and Kate Sime

Great Apartment

Stayed at Pedra Grande in June 2011 and thought the apartment was great. Plenty of space and very useful having two bathrooms. Had breakfast on the Balcony and the roof terrace was very handy for those BBQ's. Pool was good and there is a beach close by. Helders bar in Rocha Brava has internet access and there is a mini market.There are a couple of good restaurants in walking distance , Julios and Rafioles (check spelling) Really enjoyed it.

We loved your apartment (well we thought it was actually more of a villa; so spacious and well appointed) and would love to go back there if the opportunity should arrive; so we’ll see what happens in the future! We also thought your paintings very good; Trixie was particularly interested as she did study at art college in her early days.

We have stayed in Carvoeiro three times previously and it has not lost any of it’s charm and the beaches are so clean, as is the area in general. We particularly liked Julio’s restaurant but, our favourite was Jardin do Farol (we ate there 3 times) they are a charming family who own it.

Anyway we hope you are able to spend time in Portugal and enjoy your lovely apartment in future.

Pedra Grand

On holiday there 18th July to 1st August, apartment easy to find with good directions supplied. The apartment itself is great, just as described. Well equipped, spacious and great location for either a quiet time or go to local bars and lots of local beaches...Information folder in apt very usefull. The roof terrace was fab for sunbathing and bbq. Maid service twice per week included. Lesley easy to deal with online and rental easy to set up. Supermakets close by, would suggest a car, but taxi are cheap. I would recommend to anyone.

4d Pedra Grand

We had a great week at Pedra Grand - the apartment is beautiful and well equipped. The rooftop terrace was great. We swam everyday in the pool it was always quiet and felt like our own private pool. We didnt hire a car the beach was only a few minutes walk away and the resort centre with its many bars and restaurants is about 20 mins walk we felt very safe walking in this area. Although it was quite and peaceful at Pedra Grand everything we needed was within walking distance. It was an ideal location for us as a family.
