Two high-quality studio apartments with private entrances and patios are available for rental, which have recently been upgraded. Both share the architecturally designed water garden and large swimming pool. The ponds in the water garden abound with water lilies, enlivened by ornamental fish, frogs and turtles. The special Koi pond fed by a waterfall makes for a soothing and sensational holiday. We also offer you personal attention at all times, if required. Evening meals are available on request at reasonable rates if you should tire of the restaurant scene. Book early to avoid disappointment.

This brand new studio apartment is situated on the first floor of the villa and has a separate entrance off a small courtyard. It has a bedroom area with twin beds, built-in wardrobe and bedside tables. There is a sitting area with a sofa and sufficient chairs to seat 4 persons. A dining room table is also able to seat 2-4. There is a television and DVD player available. The “Penthouse” apartment is fully air-conditioned with a heating facility during the winter months. A full size kitchen, which is well equipped with an under-counter oven, 4-plate hob, microwave, refrigerator, leads off the main studio room. There are two view terraces, overlooking the water gardens and swimming pool. There are tables, chairs and umbrella available. There is a separate shower-room, leading onto a small outdoor terrace for drying towels etc. The views are breathtaking over the sea, swimming pool and the countryside. A BBQ is available. This apartment will sleep 2 adults and a small child.

The little fishing village of Carvoeiro is situated in the middle of the Algarve, well positioned for some of the best beaches, and sight seeing trips to the north to the Monchique Mountains, or to Faro in the East and Sagres in the West. It is an easy one-hour drive in each direction. The nearest large towns with great night- life and marinas are Portimao, about 8 kms away and with Albufeira a short 30 minute drive away. Zoo marine and Water Parks can be reached within 10 – 20 minutes. Golfers will find the area a paradise. There are so many activities to explore by day or night!

  • Rental charges are for 2 persons in a self-contained studio apartment. A cot can be provided at 20 euros per week. There is full use of the swimming pool at the users own risk. Tenants are fully responsible for breakages or damage. 30% deposit required when making reservation. Deposits can be paid in pounds and directly into our UK bank. Payment in advance, normally payable 6 weeks before arrival. Arrivals any day of the week, flights are usually cheaper midweek. Vacating time is 10.00hrs on day of departure.

Details of studio apartments: Each of the two apartments has a separate private entrance, and each has their own patio or terrace area. Each apartment is fully furnished and the kitchens are fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, crockery and cutlery. Casa das Primas offers their clients an outdoor secluded, shared, swimming pool with umbrellas and sun beds. A perfect setting to relax and get away from it all. There is private parking on the premises. Faro Airport is approximately a 50-minute drive from Casa das Primas. The property is owned and managed by Charles Every, assisted by his daughter, Vanessa de Beer.

Car Hire, taxi transfer & local information.: For guests wishing to rent a car, there are a number of local car hire firms offering very competitive rates, with efficient and personal service. You can collect your car at Faro Airport. A taxi can also be reserved from Faro Airport to bring you to Casa das Primas. The cost is approximately 50 Euros, however alternative arrangements can be made should you require this service at a cheaper rate. The journey usually takes approximately 50 minutes. . There are over 100 restaurants/bars in Carvoeiro and surrounding areas. A mini market 100 metres from Casa das Primas can supply all the basic requirements. There are a number of excellent walks around the cliffs and village. Casa das Primas is very centrally situated with easy access for any activity. The villa is extremely quiet and peaceful in spite of its close proximity to the centre of Carvoeiro.

Area Description and sport: The Algarve is a region renowned for its wonderful sunny climate, miles of golden pristine beaches, either long stretches of beach or intimate little coves with stunning rock formations. The sea is azure blue and mostly clear. The Algarve has an average of 3000 hours of sunshine per year. It has virtually no rain during the summer months. February is the start of spring, with October being very mild and warm. The Algarve has many sporting attractions. Golf is a very popular sport, as well as many water sports, tennis, horse-riding, walking and biking. . Water parks, Zoo marine, and the historical castle in Silves are all 10 - 30 minutes away by car from the villa.

This is our second visit to this little haven and once again it has been fantastic. Everything is perfect from the views to the location, facilities and hosts. The apartment has everything you will need in the kitchen plus tv, dvd, sky box, aircon, large powerful shower, three terraces, comfy beds, bbq, pool, jacuzzi, gym, lovely gardens, shops, and beach and restaurants all a short stroll away!!

Vanessa is an amazing cook (and my 4 year old son has insisted I put, "she makes lots and lots of lovely food" - and together with Terry and Charles make this place so special.

We will certainly be back!

Perfect In Every Way !!

We have just spent 9 days in the Penthouse Studio and were blessed with beautiful blue skies every day. It was a pleasure to wake up to see the sun rising and in the evening the sunset was most impressive. The view from the studio is wonderful - the gardens are a joy to behold and the sea can be seen from the balcony.
The studio itself is really well equipped and very comfortable.We didn't need the heating or air conditioning but it was nice to know it was there should we have needed it.
The location couldn't be better - away from the town centre but near enough to walk there.
Vanessa, Terry and Charles are wonderful hosts and we now look upon them as our 'Portuguese family'.
We have been home less than a week and have already booked for next year.

A great place away from it all

We stayed in the garden studio for 8 nights in August. The apartment facilities were excellent; good size bathroom with decent shower, new kitchen that allows you to properly self cater if you wish, large bedroom with very comfortable beds giving us the best sleeps we've had in ages, Sky TV/DVD and a lovely, cool and shady private patio area to eat in. The apt was very well maintained and clean with linen and towels provided. The oriental gardens and pool area make for a relaxing and peaceful location, away from it all, but close to everything you need.

Vanessa, Terry and Charles are lovely hosts providing the perfect balance of 'leaving you to it' or providing info/help etc. on the area and offering a wide choice of home cooked meals on request (from Vanessa). We didn’t try these out ourselves but would certainly recommend the idea to those who don't fancy cooking/eating out some nights.

This apt is a great base for exploring the rest of the Algarve or just chilling out by the pool and wandering around Carveiro on foot, as we did. There is plenty of choice of places to eat nearby. The beach is quite small and gets very crowded so if you are a beach lover it is probably a good idea to get a car and explore the others in the area. There are sun loungers available to rent on the local beach but they are very pricey at 20 euros (Aug 09 prices) for 2, per day, so go early and be prepared with an umbrella etc. if you want to DIY. The beach area comes alive at night with music and has a nice buzz to it with families/couples old and young enjoying the evening.

The exchange rate for us meant that our British pound didn't go very far but once you find the right mix of eating out/self catering you can have a relatively reasonably priced time.

I would recommend this to couples who want a quieter, more relaxed time and families with children as the area caters well for kids and feels very safe. We came away feeling completely rested and relaxed and ready for the birth of our baby in a few months time. So if you are pregnant and are considering a break away this is the perfect place!

Oustanding Property in Great Location

My children and I chose this property because of its location close to the town and beach, and yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle when you want to be. The standard of accommodation is excellent, with good facilities including air conditioning, very well maintained swimming pool, lovely gym and relaxing jacuzzi. The balcony on the penthouse overlooks the sea in the distance, and the large tranquil garden of the property with the frogs and koi is great to escape into. Vanessa, Terry and Charles are great hosts, accommodating and helpful yet suitably discreet. I would recommend this property to anyone, and will be staying again in the future.

A Little Gem!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Penthouse - Vanessa and Terry were very welcoming - the property is clean and well-maintained, the gardens lovely and the pool and jacuzzi just super! We didn't use the gym or the sauna - it was too hot! The restaurants and shops are a five minute walk down the hill and there is a wide variety to choose from. Vanessa is a wonderful cook and you can pre-order a meal and eat in - her desserts are especially delicious. I would highly recommend this property - we will be back!
