Casa das Primas can offer you a holiday in tranquil surroundings, with open views of the countryside and the sea beyond yet less than a 10 minute walk from the local market, beach, shops and restaurants. Two high-quality studio apartments with private entrances and patios are available for rental, which have recently been upgraded. Both share the architecturally designed water garden and large swimming pool. The ponds in the water garden abound with water lilies, enlivened by ornamental fish, frogs and turtles. The special Koi pond fed by a waterfall makes for a soothing and sensational holiday. We also offer you personal attention at all times, if required. Evening meals are available on request at reasonable rates if you should tire of the restaurant scene. Book early to avoid disappointment.

This studio apartment has a separate private entrance through an arch into a patio area, which is surrounded by well-established plants. This area has a patio table with chairs and an umbrella, with sufficient space to BBQ. A large shady Alfarobia tree over this patio, makes it a wonderful place to sit out in summer. The fully fitted new kitchenette is well equipped with a cooker, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, and toaster. There is a small indoor dining area as well as satellite TV and a DVD player available. The studio is supplied with twin beds and a sliding picture window gives ventilation and a view onto the private patio. Casa das Primas offers its guests an outdoor secluded (but shared) swimming pool with umbrellas and sun beds, overlooking the sea, the village of Carvoeiro and the water gardens. There is private parking on the premises. Faro Airport is approximately a 50-minute drive from Casa das Primas. This studio apartment will sleep 2 persons. All linen is supplied.

The little fishing village of Carvoeiro is situated in the middle of the Algarve, well positioned for some of the best beaches, and sight seeing trips to the north to the Monchique Mountains, or to Faro in the East and Sagres in the West. It is an easy one-hour drive in each direction. The nearest large towns with great night- life and marinas are Portimao, about 8 kms away and with Albufeira a short 30 minute drive away. Zoo marine and Water Parks can be reached within 10 – 20 minutes. Golfers will find the area a paradise. There are so many activities to explore by day or night!

Details of studio apartments: Each of the two apartments has a separate private entrance, and each has their own patio or terrace area. Each apartment is fully furnished and the kitchens are fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, crockery and cutlery. Casa das Primas offers their clients an outdoor secluded, shared, swimming pool with umbrellas and sun beds. A perfect setting to relax and get away from it all. There is private parking on the premises. Faro Airport is approximately a 50-minute drive from Casa das Primas. The property is owned and managed by Charles Every, assisted by his daughter, Vanessa de Beer.

Car Hire, taxi transfer & local information.: For guests wishing to rent a car, there are a number of local car hire firms offering very competitive rates, with efficient and personal service. You can collect your car at Faro Airport. A taxi can also be reserved from Faro Airport to bring you to Casa das Primas. The cost is approximately 50 Euros, however alternative arrangements can be made should you require this service at a cheaper rate. The journey usually takes approximately 50 minutes. . There are over 100 restaurants/bars in Carvoeiro and surrounding areas. A mini market 100 metres from Casa das Primas can supply all the basic requirements. There are a number of excellent walks around the cliffs and village. Casa das Primas is very centrally situated with easy access for any activity. The villa is extremely quiet and peaceful in spite of its close proximity to the centre of Carvoeiro.

Area Description and sport: The Algarve is a region renowned for its wonderful sunny climate, miles of golden pristine beaches, either long stretches of beach or intimate little coves with stunning rock formations. The sea is azure blue and mostly clear. The Algarve has an average of 3000 hours of sunshine per year. It has virtually no rain during the summer months. February is the start of spring, with October being very mild and warm. The Algarve has many sporting attractions. Golf is a very popular sport, as well as many water sports, tennis, horse-riding, walking and biking. . Water parks, Zoo marine, and the historical castle in Silves are all 10 - 30 minutes away by car from the villa.

Wonderful break in superb location.

Our autumn break at Casa de Primas was excellent. Vanessa and Terry could not have been more welcoming and their recommendations, for trips and dining, were spot on. Charles is an inspiration to all gardeners, and travellers, and you should take the time to listen to his advice and tales.
We swam on 2 days out of 4 and had the pool to ourselves. The courtyard, exclusively for the garden apartment, is ideal for breakfast and pre dinner drinks.
The property is a 5 min walk (maybe 10 on way back!) from the restaurants and bars, but only 1min from the local store which has fresh bread etc for breakfast. It is also open 7 days per week so no need to rush to the supermarket!
We cannot fault our accommodation, but the hosts made it even more special.
This is a fantastic part of Portugal, and a superb place for a couple to stay.

We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days in the studio at Casa das Primas.The property is in a quiet area yet only a short walk from the centre of Carvoeira and some excellent restaurants.while there we felt that our privacy was respected ,but when advice was needed Vanessa was nearby to help.When the bathroom light bulb failed it was replaced immediately.The property was clean and we were not troubled by ants.The gardens are a delight and a pleasure to wander around or just to sit in and enjoy the sunshine.We also made use of the excellent gym.We would not hesitate to recommend this property to any of our friends and would love to stay there again

Garden of Eden in the Algarve

We wanted a comfortable,clean base for exploring the area and the Garden Apartment fitted the bill perfectly with the added pleasure of being able to use the delightful gardens,pool and gym if we wanted a day off. It was a bonus that our kind hosts gave us good advice on the area as well as being helpful and ready to assist us in our plans.
I would gladly recommend the property to anyone wanting to go out and about to discover more than just the tourist Algarve - though you can do that too!

Ideal place - would thoroughly recommend it!

We have just returned from our second stay in the garden studio (we have also previously had the pleasure of staying in the penthouse studio).

I have just read the review by the Canadian visitor and I could not believe that we had stayed in the same place! The studio is enchanting - very well equipped and well furnished. The gardens are really beautiful and although I did not venture into the swimming pool (the weather was warm but not that warm) it was nice to be able to sit in the garden enjoying the peace and quiet.

Vanessa is a perfect hostess and could not do enough for us - if being helpful and ensuring that we had everything we needed makes her a 'busy body' then the holiday industry could do with more people like her.

The studio is in an ideal position - not in the centre of the town but near enough to stroll there to sample the wonderful restaurants in the evening (only about 10 minutes walk away).

As expected we had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. Many thanks to Vanessa, Terry and Charles for making us so welcome - we are already planning our next visit.

What a fantastic getaway

I have just read the review posted by the Canadian coouple and feel that I should let people know the experience that my husband and I had at Charles' and Vanessa's excellent apartments.

Vanessa treated us like family and nothing was too much trouble, we too had an episode with Portugese wild life but come on - The temperature was in the 80's and what country doesn't have bugs!!

We had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend these apartments to anyone they are tranquil, well positioned and above all exceptionally clean. We would go back tomorrow if work comitments allowed.

Thank you again Vanessa! and apologies for not writing this review sooner.
