This apartment is as spacious as they come! At last you can give the children a bedroom each and not break the budget Quinta Dos Pocos is located in Ferragudo, the Algarve's last un-commercialised fishing village, which is situated across the estuary from Portimao (Praia de Rocha) Western Algarve. Ferragudo is a 40 min drive from Faro Airport. The property is located on a new development about 5 mins walk from the centre of Ferragudo and has been newly furnished throughout. There are great beaches in the area; two small 'cove' type beaches within a few minutes drive and the large Praia Grande beach is within walking distance. Golf enthusiasts will find many Golf Clubs within easy reach including Penina Championship Course which is a 15 minute drive. The two Pestana golf courses, Pinta and Gramacho are only a 3 min drive away. Other facilities close by include Carvoeiro Tennis Club, Splash & Slide the largest water park in the Algarve, just a few minutes drive away and Zoo Marine.

Fantastic Family Holiday

Although a car is recommended, we were not confident to drive abroad so the owner organised transfers for us from the airport. The apartment was great and met up with the description on the advert and was above our expectations. It had everything that you could need (except a dishwasher, although we did very little cooking) and was spotlessly clean.
As a party of seven with five children with ages ranging from 20years to 8 years there was plenty of room and enough going on to keep us all occupied.
We especially enjoyed the pool and my husband the gym equipment and it was also great to be able to sit on the balcony which overlooks the pool area to see where everyone was.
We booked trips through the tourist information office in the village and really enjoyed the boat trip to see the dolphins and our visit to Zoo Marine and the water park which is close by.
It was just a short walk into the village with cafe/restaurants and a beautiful church if you don't mind a hike up the hill. I especially enjoyed sitting in the village square watching the world go by. It was a bonus that everyone seemed to speak english which made life a lot easier.
For me I enjoyed sitting on the balacony with my book and was facinated watching the farmer taking his goat for a walk on a lead!!!!
Yes - we would highly recommend.
In all we all had a fantasic time and we will going back as soon as we can - can't wait!!!
