An extremely comfortable and well furnished 1st floor apartment (top floor) with 2 bedrooms (and plenty of cupboards), 2 bathrooms (one ensuite), living area and dining area with TV and CD player, fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There is also has a nice sized south facing balcony with seating area and sea views. The apartment is at the top of a hill, only a 5 minute walk (down) to the varied bars and restaurants of Carvoeiro. Private access to very secluded pools and tennis courts. Mini-market less than 5 minutes walk. Maid service 5 days a week. Linen and bath towels provided (bring your own beach towels).

Situated very close to the center of Carvoeiro with its many small bars and wide range of restaurants, the area is very suitable for adults with or without younger children. Older teenagers may find the facilities a bit lacking at night, but some may consider this a benefit! Although a car is not needed, without one you'll miss many of the nearby facilities, such as water parks, small sandy beach coves and beautiful countryside. Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment may be made in either Pounds Sterling or Euros, by cheque or by bank transfer. A deposit of 20% is needed to secure the dates (this is not refundable unless we can resell the period), and the balance is due 8 weeks before the start date. A security deposit of £150 is payable with the final installment, and this will be returned within 10 days of the end of your stay.
  • For 'Winter' bookings, electricity is a chargeable extra, but we can give advice on antidipated costs depending on your pattern of heating needs. There is also a log burning fire in the living room and wood can be supplied.

Our family stayed at the apartment in Aug 2009. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The location is ideal for access the beach, bars and restaurants without being affected by nightime noise (having said that Carvoeiro is not a rowdy place at all). The pool was excellent as usual and due to the scorching weather the water was quite warm at times. We were also fortunate to have a fantastic view of the fireworks on the 30th Aug from our balcony. This has been our fourth stay at Monte Dourado and it will certainly not be our last. Thanks to the Kottlers.

Perfect Position for Winter Sun

We spent a fantastic Christmas here , the balcony gets the sun early morning until it set at 5.00 pm . Plenty of room to sit and relax and to eat outside , not overlooked and a very pleasant view. Inside we were very comfortable - each room could be individually heated , if we needed it . Great kitchen facilities and well equipped for cooking "proper meals". Both bathrooms were excellent . Good to have maid service daily , beds made and apartment cleaned - with the dishwaher there was not many chores left to do . Richard made booking easy and gave great service at all times . Would reccomend this apartment without hesitation and will deffinitely be back for another visit .

Hi Richard, I was about to mail you but you got there first.

Can I thank you on behalf of all of us for use of your apartment. It was better than we could have hoped for. We have had a great time.The staff at reception were really helpful and the maid could not do enough for us.(I hope we tipped her enough).

We hope to be able to have use of it again in the future,We are over again in 4 weeks but we have already booked a villa as there will be 6 of us this time, We would have prefered your apartment but maybe next time just 4 of us come over that will be possible.

Thanks for the return of the deposit I will keep an eye open for it,I will let you know when it arrives.

Hope you have as good a time as we have and that the weather is as good.

We have used this apartment on 2 occasions and have it booked again later this year. If you've never been to Carvoeiro then you should love it, it's a great place especially for adults or groups of friends and this apartment, although up a bit of a hill, is in a great location just 2 mins from the start of the bars and restaurants of which there are loads! The apartment is well maintained, quiet and spacious - we love it!
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
