An extremely comfortable and well furnished 1st floor apartment (top floor) with 2 bedrooms (and plenty of cupboards), 2 bathrooms (one ensuite), living area and dining area with TV and CD player, fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There is also has a nice sized south facing balcony with seating area and sea views. The apartment is at the top of a hill, only a 5 minute walk (down) to the varied bars and restaurants of Carvoeiro. Private access to very secluded pools and tennis courts. Mini-market less than 5 minutes walk. Maid service 5 days a week. Linen and bath towels provided (bring your own beach towels).

Situated very close to the center of Carvoeiro with its many small bars and wide range of restaurants, the area is very suitable for adults with or without younger children. Older teenagers may find the facilities a bit lacking at night, but some may consider this a benefit! Although a car is not needed, without one you'll miss many of the nearby facilities, such as water parks, small sandy beach coves and beautiful countryside. Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment may be made in either Pounds Sterling or Euros, by cheque or by bank transfer. A booking deposit of 20% is needed to secure the dates (this is not refundable unless we can resell the period), and the balance is due 8 weeks before the start date. A security deposit of £150 is payable with the final installment, and this will be returned within 10 days of the end of your stay.
  • For 'Winter' bookings, electricity is a chargeable extra, but we can give advice on anticipated costs depending on your pattern of heating needs. There is also a log burning fire in the living room and wood can be supplied.

Portugal Stay March 2012

This is our 2nd visit to the Monte Dourado Complex and this apartment was wonderful, very well equipped and comfortable. We love Carvoeiro, it is a very nice unspoilt part of the Algarve and very central to touring around. The owners were very helpful with our booking and provided good information about the area. We would love to return again.

Great Location

An excellent, comfortable apartment located, in our view, in one of the best spots on the Monte Duorado complex. Great view with sun on the balcony all day until almost sunset (February). A wood burning fire is a big plus for cool February nights and adds to the comfort.
Our stay coincided with the driest period for many years - no rain since November - with sunshine every day bar one when it was a little overcast. However the apartment has every facility to stop boredom if the weather should be inclement.
Richard's web site and pre-stay information pack is very comprehensive and helpful. The staff at the Monte Duorado reception center are also very helpful and friendly should any problems crop up.
All in all we had a great time and hope to be back.

Great Apartment!

Richard,
Thank you - what a clean, comfortable and very well appointed place. We ate out on the balcony for several romantic candlelight dinners overlooking the wonderful view. Lovely town however the hills are very steep, and lots of them. This is a great central spot to the wonderful sighseeing Algarve area.

This apartment is great and booking is so easy, four of us stayed and there was plenty of room. In a great location few minutes from Carvoerio centre agree with other reviews Richard and Ingrid are great hosts we had a great holiday and hopefully will return soon.

Couldn't have wished for better!

We were stranded for an extra week in Portugal by the dreaded volcanic ash situation in April 2010. Thankfully, we were able to continue staying in this fantastic apartment! The owner was really helpful which made a potentially stressful situation so much easier to bear.

Everything was as it was described, the location was great and we would happily recommend this property to anyone.

We ate at a few restaurants - we'd recommend "Ele and Ela" for the best food overall, and "O Indiano" for curry.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
