The studio is a detached and self contained annexe to the villa Vista da Montanha and represents amazing value for two people wanting self catering comfort in a truly peaceful area. The property is accessed through electronic gates to a driveway and courtyard. To the right of the driveway is the villa with private pool and BBQ area that is almost exclusively for guests renting the studio. (The owners rarely use the area). The bright and tastefully decorated studio has a fully fitted kitchen and good sized separate shower room and WC. The living and sleeping areas are light and spacious, and is fitted with comfortable twin beds. A third bed or cot is available for a minimal extra cost. The studio has its own satellite TV with UK free to air channels. The studio has been recently fitted with an air conditioning unit, which is available at a small additional charge.

This fabulous studio apartment is located only 15/20 minutes stroll from Carvoeiro village where there are a host of fantastic restaurants and bars and shops. Carvoeiro was a former fishing village and although now a thriving holiday resort, still retains much of it's charm. The town also has its own beach, with several more in the area within 15 minutes drive. Also within approx 10 mins drive are 3 top 18 hole championship golf courses, a water park, and the town of Lagoa with its daily market and shops. A little further away (approx 20 mins drive) is Zoomarine, where one can swim with dolphins. A few minutes walk away is the Colina Village resort complex with its huge outdoor pool, indoor pool, tennis courts plus bar and restaurant. Access to the facilities are available free to clients who use the bar and/or restaurant at the complex.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rental includes bed linen and bathroom towels, but not beach/pool towels. A 25% non returnable deposit is required to seal the booking, then balance to be paid 2 calendar months prior to rental start. Air conditioning is available at an additional charge of £20 per week if required, which purely pays for the electricity used.
    £50 returnable damages deposit required, payable on arrival in cash please. This will be returned on exit. Thursday changeovers but others may be available outside main season on request.
  • Airport transfers can be arranged on request.

Notes: The owners, live in the villa adjacent to the detached and independently situated studio. Studio guests are welcome the use the pool and BBQ area, whenever they wish. Guests are also invited at any time to use the sun terrace on the roof of the villa, where there are fantastic panoramic views. To the left hand side of the villa, there is a table, chairs and parasol where one can quietly read a book or enjoy a bottle of wine. There is also plenty of space for guests to park a car in the ample driveway, adjacent to the studio.

The accommodation is a spacious studio apartment which has a well equipped kitchen and bathroom and is very clean and well presented. The owners are very friendly and helpful but respect your privacy. The pool and BBQ area is lovely, it is spacious and inviting and is almost exclusively used by guests. Everything you need is provided for you including pool towels. The accommodation is ideally located aproximately 15 minutes walk from the lovely town centre of Carvoeiro where there are numerous bars and restaurants to suit all tastes (ask owners for recommendations). If you have a hire car we can recommend unspoilt Carvalho (smugglers) beach which is great for a picnic lunch - take your own brolly as there are no facilities. Other must sees are the historic town of Silves, the spa town of Caldas de Monchique and the bone chapel at Alcantarilha! For those with children there are also two water parks and zoo marine within a short drive. We are looking forward to our next stay and can highly recommend this property.

Property was very clean, well maintained and contained everything you may need. I would recommend the Air Conditioning in Summer which is an optional extra. The property was very secure with a gate operated by a key fob.
Owners were very helpful but did not interfere and were out a great deal of the time.
I would recommend this property.
The property is a 20min walk from the town and a car is useful, particularly for the supermarket which would be a 20 min walk or a taxi ride. A wide range of bars and restaurants in the town. Many bars closed around 1.30 in Summer. The town would appeal to families and older couples but may not be lively enough for the younger end.
Beach is a 25 min walk but the pool, patio area and BBQ is ideal and not used by the owners. I will be returning to the property myself.
