Rocha Brava Complex: Rocha Brava is a beautiful villa complex set in tropical gardens on the clifftops near Carvoeiro. Among its facilities are a 24-hour reception office, and a small supermarket. For eating and drinking there is a bar/cafe with an Internet cafe upstairs, a pool side bar and first-class restaurant. Adjacent to the complex there are a number of restaurants and bars for visitors to try out. For visitors who like to keep in shape, there is the four court tennis centre with a resident professional for coaching sessions, and an adjoining gym. For children, there is a playground and an indoor children’s room with table tennis, and organised kids activities in summer. There are three main pools (one of them with a waterfall) and all with paddling pools, open to all guests. One of the pools is heated in the winter.

Carvoiro and nearby region: Carvoeiro provides a wide choice of restaurants and bars. It can be reached by car, taxi or the courtesy minibus from Rocha Brava. It hosts the normal outlets expected in a tourist village, banks, ATM machine, Post office, pharmacy and range of shops. There are many sandy beaches and coves in the area for visitors to explore. There are two water slide parks within a short drive and Zoomarine (marine theme park) also close by. The town of Lagos is a 30 min drive away but well worth the effort.

Local Golf Courses: The nearest golf course is Vale do MIlho, a 9 hole, par 3 course. There are two 18 hole couses within a short drive, Vale de Pinta and Gramacho. For the serious golfers, championship courses at Penina and Quinta de Lago are 30 mins away.
