Casa Luessa is a spacious, privately owned villa set in secluded, beautifully landscaped gardens. The villa is well presented and furnished, creating a comfortable and homely feel. It has a wealth of features to make it an ideal holiday home for all the family. There are cooling fans for the summer months and an all-night wood burning stove for cosy winter nights. Fully fitted kitchen with dish washer, fridge/freezer and microwave. Spacious dining room, seating 8 and lounge. Satellite TV (English channels), CD player and video recorder. Safety deposit box. Swimming pool, measuring 30ft x 17ft (heated for an additional charge). The pool was re-tiled in 2004. Marianna, the maid, has been looking after the villa and its guests for the past 25 years. She works 5 days per week (excluding public holidays), and for a small fee, will do personal laundry.

Out & About:

A good day trip out is to the nearby historic town of Silves where you can enjoy the Moorish castle perched on a hill at the top of the town next to the church. Further along the coast is the beautiful town of Lagos which has all manner of attractions, including excellent shopping and a large marina. Portimão is a larger town 15 minutes drive from Carvoeiro and has a pedestrianised area with designer shops and restaurants. Other popular places to visit include the Monchique Mountains in the interior, and further along the coast to the West from Carvoeiro is Sagres where you can watch the sun set into the Atlantic Ocean from Cape Vincent - the most south westerly point of Continental Europe. There are numerous other beautiful towns, villages and idyllic spots to be discovered in the Algarve and it’s worth renting a car and buying a map to uncover them. The Algarve is a very economical destination and still one of the best value places to be enjoyed anywhere in Europe.

The Swimming Pool (Heated if Required):

The private swimming pool (30ft x 17ft) is specifically for guests of the villa only. There are sunbeds, parasols, tables and chairs for guests' use. At one end of the pool there is a shower, The pool has a powerful heater should this be required for winter months. There is an additional cost for this. (See Rates).

We are only a 10 minute drive to the Pestana Golf resort. Located in the heart of the Algarve near the picturesque fishing village of Praia do Carvoeiro, Pestana Golf Resort nestles in 200 hectares of unrivalled beauty. Along with the two superb golf courses, Pestana boasts a David Leadbetter Golf Academy and a plethora of off the course activities. The two courses were designed by Ron Fream of Golfplan USA; the Pinta Course was built first and is the resort's flagship layout but its sister Gramacho Course is a fantastic 6,679 yard track in its own right.
