Beautiful, colonial style detached villa fitted out to very high standard, situated in its own gardens with heated pool. Access is via electric gates. The villa is not isolated, not overlooked and is one minutes walk from Carvoeiro Tennis Club. Carvoeiro, with its many restaurants, is 5 minutes by car as are several beaches, two excellent golf courses, Slide and Splash Waterpark and the supermarket. The villa has a superb and extremely well equipped kitchen. An L-shaped lounge with dining area very comfortably furnished with original art work on the walls. There is an open fire, full central heating and air conditioning in all bedrooms and living room. All the bedrooms and living room open onto a shaded veranda overlooking the pool and gardens. The villa is alarmed and has security shutters throughout also satellite TV, DVD, and CD player/stereo. The pool is heated and the cost of this and the air conditioning is included in the peak rental prices.

Nearest Beach: beach at 2.0 Kilometres

The villa is situated in an exclusive residential area adjacent to the tennis club, which has 13 tennis courts, tennis coaches, beautician, hairdresser, gymnasium, aerobics, fitness classes etc. It is on the outskirts of the seaside resort of Carvoeiro. Carvoeiro itself is an old fishing village which has expanded sympathetically to accommodate tourism. There is no high rise developments here. There are many bars and restaurants and some night-life for the young at heart. The village centre is a 20 minute walk from the villa or a 5 minute drive. Taxis are many and cost approximately 5 euros. The superb Pestana golf courses are 5 minutes away. There are several fantastic beaches within minutes drive and all have beach bar restaurants serving excellent seafood etc. For the youngsters there is a water park again 5 minutes or so away.

Fantastic villa for a relaxing family holiday

Our family would highly recommend this villa. It's very privately located, with fantastic facilities. As we have two young children, it's important to us to have private grounds to keep them safe, but also with enough room to run around and play and Villa Placido definitely offers this. The children had a wonderful time.
The owners were very responsive and friendly and gave us all the necessary information prior to our arrival.
The villa is located very close to some spectacular beaches, but you need to have a car.
We came across a fantastic Brazilian restaurant just 10 minutes walk from the villa which we'd definitely recommend. Carvoeiro offers some wonderful seafood restaurants too and children are very much welcome everywhere.
Whilst we have a young family, we'd recommend Villa Placido to anyone wishing to get away from it all to a very well maintained and luxurious property!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Beautiful villa with marvelous garden and pool

The description was very accurate. Everything was clean and maid and gardener kept it well maintained during the whole stay. When arriving everything we needed for our first breakfast was in the refridgerator. We surely would recommend this property to our friends.
A tennis center was very close (5 minutes by feet) and we used it often, and we also liked jogging to the cliffs (10 to 15 minutes from the villa to the cliffs).
