Casa Diana is a superior air-conditioned villa on the beautiful cliff-top Rocha Brava complex. The villa's position provides the most stunning of sea views which can be enjoyed from the spacious living room and main bedroom, as well as the garden and furnished roof terrace. It has a new kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave oven, and a smart new bathroom. The twin bedroom has a shower room en-suite, (also new). Notes to the rental rates

Travel

The villa is 45 minutes drive from Faro airport. A hire car is not essential, but will enable guests to visit many of the more secluded beaches and villages nearby. From Lisbon, Carvoeiro is about 2-3 hours drive. For those who do not wish to drive while on holiday, there are frequent buses and cheap taxis into the town from Rocha Brava, and courtesy coaches to the water-slide park (Slide and Splash) just the other side of the town. Seville is just 2 hours drive away.

Rocha Brava Complex

Rocha Brava is a beautiful villa complex set in lovely grounds on the clifftops near Carvoeiro. Among its facilities are a 24-hour reception office, and a small supermarket. For eating and drinking there is a bar/cafe with an internet cafe upstairs, a restaurant and a poolside bar. For fun there is the four court tennis centre with a resident professional for coaching sessions, table tennis, and an adjoining gym. For children, there is a playground and an indoor children's room, and a free, organised kids' club in summer. There are three main pools (one of them with a waterfall from another pool above) and all with paddling pools, open to all guests.

Nearby Attractions

Carvoeiro has very many bars and restaurants, with varying styles and prices, but all are good value. You can take a boat trip from the town beach to see the nearby caves at Algar Seco. There are two water slide parks within a short drive, and a marine theme park about 30 minutes away, where you can swim with dolphins. 'Krazy World' is a fun day out for the whole family, but especially yoounger children, a short distance inland. Silves is a historical walled town just 15 kms inland, and the fishing port of Portimao is about 20 minutes drive along the coast westwards. This town has many larger shops, and longer boat trips from the river-front quai-side, including a replica old sailing ship, and deep-sea fishing. You can also take a boat trip with guaranteed dolphin sightings. Lagos is a bit further to the West, and has a lovely marina.

Golf Information:

Vale do Milho, a 9 hole par 3 course, is within walking distance. Two 18 hole courses - Vale de Pinta and Gramacho - are the far side of Carvoeiro (5kms). 40% discount on green fees at Vilar do Golf, 20 minutes away. Championship courses are available at Penina (25 minutes) and Quinta de Lago (30 minutes). Many other courses are within 30 - 40 minutes drive.
