There is a large sitting room with a separate dining area. The master bedroom and sitting room both have French doors directly onto the pool terrace which has its own outside, shaded dining area and barbecue. There is a further lawned area to the rear of the villa with another shaded terrace. The gardens contain many specimen trees and shrubs and a short walk through a mimosa wood leads to a Boule Piste located to catch the last of the evening sun. The pool is 30ft. x 15ft. and can be heated to extend the season into early spring and late autumn. Otilia, the maid has looked after the villa for many years and works 4 hours per day except weekends and public holidays. As well as keeping the house clean and tidy, she does bed making and personal laundry.

Out and About

The historic town of Silves is only about 15 minutes drive (or an hour upstream by boat from Portimao) and you can visit the Moorish castle on a hill at the top of the town. There is also a Roman bridge dating from the days of Roman occupation when Silves was the provincial capital. A drive to the west takes you through (or round) Portimao to the beautiful town of Lagos and on to Sagres and Cap st. Vincent. The beaches on the west coast offer a spectacular alternative to the quieter southern beaches near the villa.

Golf Information:

is one of the mainstays of tourism in the Algarve and Casa da Vinha is ideally located with 5 outstanding courses within a few minutes drive. The Pestana resort in Carvoeiro has 2 excellent courses, Vale do Pinto and Gramacho, the Meridian resort - Penina has hosted the Portuguese Open on numerous occasions and is within 15 minutes drive. There are 2 further exceptional courses inland from Portimao at about 20 minutes and Vale de Minho, a challenging 9 hole Par 3 course is only 3 minutes away. Within about 30 minutes drive the choice is between another 10 courses!
