Casa Castelinho (Little Castle) - This private air conditioned/heated villa is ideally situated in a quiet location and yet is only a 15min stroll from the centre of the pretty, Algarve village of Carvoeiro. It is an independent villa with a small walled garden boasting mature palm tree's and tropical plants. The layout offers privacy, tranquility and safety (burglar alarm), and promises a truly relaxed environment for large families and groups of friends, and is all on one level. The pool (10m x 4m) has romantic night time lighting and is a delight for both children and adults alike, and is ideal for youngsters learning to swim or indeed for anyone who prefers to take some time out relaxing out of the hot summer sun. Depths are 1.83m & 0.81m. The pool terrace and roof terrace have plenty of space for sun bathing, dining and socializing, and with the added convenience of an inbuilt BBQ, it is the perfect setting for long lazy lunches or sizzling feasts in the late evening sunshine.

Carvoeiro town centre and the sea are just a fifteen minute walk away, or a few minutes by car. The small pretty beach has a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops, all worth a visit. Within ten minutes drive from the village many more beaches can be found, ranging from small quiet coves to long wide beaches, which even during July and August do not get particularly crowded. Close to Carvoeiro there are many other small villages, with some really excellent restaurants to choose from, all with superb selections to suit all tastes and pockets. For younger family members there are several water parks and a marine zoo within a twenty minute drive, while for those wishing to explore the Algarve, an hour’s drive can take you to the West coast and Cape St. Vincent, the mountains at Monchique and Foia, and the historic towns of Lagos, Silves and Tavira. The area is serviced by a local bus route so for those who need to pop into Carvoeiro they can hop onto the local bus

Additional information about rental rates

  • The prices are in total for the property per week and include bed linen, towels, free use of two cots, two high chairs and a single childs car seat, a safe, a full burglar alarm system and air conditioning/heating. It also includes electricity, gas and mains water usage. If staying for more than one week, a change of towels and bed linen is included after seven days.
  • We take a 25% deposit to secure a booking with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A damage deposit of £200 is also taken in case of breakage, damage or more than normal cleaning, which is returned in full once no additional costs have been confirmed by the villa management company.
  • Villa arrival instructions including management company contact phone numbers and general local information is provided prior to arrival.
    Detailed driving instructions from Faro Airport to the villa (in conjunction with applicable maps), plus a map for walking to the town centre are also made available prior to arrival.
    We are happy to arrange a taxi or mini-bus from/to the airport/villa if required.
    Although we have no specific tie-in with any of the many local golf courses, we are happy to provide information or assist in booking tee-times.
    There is a large amount of information in the villa regarding local activities and general tourist information, all contained in a regularily updated folder.

  • All bathrooms/showers are to modern standards and are fully tiled. The new double bedroom has a 'wet shower' installed for ease of access and use. There are multiple water heaters situated throughout the villa, arranged to provide hot water to all the showers and bathroom/kitchen sinks. An outside shower is provided (pool / BBQ area). There is also a private sunken water tank in the garden to ensure that an adaquate water supply is available at all times, even during the hot summer months when mains water can be a bit erratic.

The double bedroom has direct access via a large secure sliding door to the swimming pool - great for those that enjoy an early morning dip or a rapid cool-off in the afternoon. There is also a quiet snug room, suitable for board games or cards, reading or just relaxing in a pleasant and comfortable environment. Notes: The spacious modern kitchen is newly fitted, and equipped with a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle etc. There are also washing machine and ironing facilities available if required. The villa is furnished to a very high standard with a mixture of Portuguese and stylish contemporary furniture, providing a really relaxed environment. The open plan living and dining area has a large Portuguese style dining table that easily seats eight, and a lounge area with comfortable sofas. There is a large rug and coffee table in front of the fireplace. The lounge has a quality hi-fi, satellite TV, DVD and bookcases with a wide variety of reading material and DVD's. The villa and the garden are set up with safety in mind for younger holiday members. There is sufficient off-road car parking at the side of the villa for up to three cars. The Monchique hills are a panoramic view from the roof terrace, the size of which almost replicates the villa floor space.

Tennis: Carvoeiro Tennis Club with its wide range of courts is only 500m away from the Villa. Non-members are welcome to use all thge facilities at any time. Contact details and times etc are included in the villa information folder. It also has a fitness centre and beauticians for those who prefer a spot of pampering after a long day in the hot summer sun.

Golf: The Algarve region is a golfers paradise, with a large selection of good courses within an easy drive of the villa. These include Pinta, Gramacho, Penina Championship, Palmares, Salgados, Silves, Boavista, Alto, Morgado, Dos Alamos and Vale de Milho (9 hole). The nearest golf courses, Pinta and Gramacho are a mere 2km away. There is also an excellent selection of courses at the world renowned Vilamoura area, which is only 40 minutes away, and an easy drive along the main dual carriageway. All the above courses are a good test of golf regardless of each individuals skill/handicap. Golf handicap certificates are required at most courses. Shirts with collars should be worn, as well as wearing socks if male players wish to golf in shorts. The summer months can be a bit too warm for some golfers even when using a buggy. Both Spring and Autumn are much more enjoyable, with usually a nice pleasant breeze to help keep you cool. There is ample secure storage in the villa for golfing equipment should you prefer not leave valuable equipment locked in the car overnight.

Photos do not do this villa justice. Excellent facilities, everything we needed was provided. Very clean property, well maintained.
We were a party of 4 adults and 4 teenagers.....lots of room for us all....room for all in the pool.....plenty of sunbeds.....what more can I say.....we will definately be returning next year.

Simply superb

We are just back from this gorgeous villa after staying for one week - and can honstely say it is one of the best holidays we have ever had!

We have four children and went along with another family who have 2 children - and we never ever felt squeezed in. This villa is extremely well equipped, spacious and extremely comfortable considering there was 10 of us all together!

They have thought of everything - up to date dvd's, plently of books for all types - (seriously, do not pack books - there is plently to choose from here!), cd's for all tastes and games for both adults and children!

The pool was ideal for 6 children (and adults) to play in without anyone getting in each others way, floats and lylos all supplied too!

Vanessa and Sam were more than helpful - taking the men of our group for a tour of Carvoeiro so we could get our barings which was invaluable.

We will most certainly return - this is just a little gem of a find!!!

Good directions were given to find the Villa-Venessa was there to meet us and explained everything that we needed to know-welcome pack was better than we have ever had -first impression was better and bigger than pictures show-enough room for 8 adults-not to far for Golf courses-villa was well equipped to make our stay comfortable-it was a good 15 min walk into Carvoeiro but get a taxi back which is no mre than 5euro-recomend a car to get about there ia lovely beach 10mins away on the road to Ferragudo you will see all the cars parked on the left hand side of the road-fantastic sunbeds and cheaper than Carvoeiro-best piri piri chicken is in centre of Carvoeiro AL Fonti up some steps past the Irish Times Pub.

The Best Villa !!

A fantastic Villa that we rented to accommodate two families. The Villa was laid out perfectly for this purpose. The Villa was extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay with help,information and advice always on hand from Vanessa.
We didnt see an awful lot of Carvoeiro as we could never get the kids to leave the pool!
Overall an extremely enjoyable holiday.

Fantastic Holiday and Villa

My girlfriend and I chosse this villia as a place to come and relax for a week and we were not dissapointed. The description of the villia does not do it justice. It really is amazing.

We made no plans to do any site seeing simply relax in the sun and the villia was perfect for that. There is plenty to do in the surrouding areas but we just wanted to chill out.

We found the villia to be sparkiling clean and very well maintained.

Just a 15 min walk takes you in to the heart of the town where you will find plenty of really good places to eat and lots of bars to choose from as well. There is always plenty of taxis in the town waiting to take you the 5 mins back up to the villia.

All in all one of the best holidays I have been on and we are looking forward to going back in the future,
