“Staying at this villa was an absolute treat”

This villa actually feels more like a well-loved family home than a holiday rental with a lovely calm and happy ambience. It is comfortable, clean and well equipped with lots of little touches that make you feel at home. Like the ‘essentials’ in the fridge when you arrive and dish-washing tablets and washing powder being provided. But it is also the thoughtful touches like finding books and magazines provided for guests. Ideal as we spent so much time reading and relaxing on this holiday we finished ours!
Outside is a very sunny balcony with a table and chairs, great for some quiet time reading or for eating and drinking. Just a couple of minutes walk away is a spacious pool area where we spent a time lazing on a sun lounger and having the occasional swim in the pool. There is a bar there that serves drinks and food that was also very nice.
The villa is in a great position for exploring the Algarve. Just a short drive in the car and you are in Lagos and Portimao where just strolling around the avenues and marinas is a good way to spend some time. But not to be missed are the beaches on the West Coast, particularly Cordoama Beach which has to be one of the most stunning beaches in the world. Truly beautiful and just a handful of people there when we went in early September, but still very warm. You can take a picnic, but we had a lovely lunch at the cafe there overlooking the beach which was delicious... another bonus.
Before we went we were a bit worried that eating out in the evening would be expensive in Portugal. But we found some really great places locally to eat and drink that were very reasonably priced. One place in particular just a few minutes walk from the Villa served a starter, main course and seemingly unlimited wine and soft drinks for 9 Euros a head!! With a friendly atmosphere and such delicious food we loved it and ate there about four nights of holiday! There is a book in the villa where previous guests have written their recommendations, I suggest anybody else staying there just does what we did and follow their suggestions.
We were a couple staying there but it would work equally well for a family with young children (I think lots of families stay there was there were children’s games for guests to use). We thoroughly recommend this villa, we loved every minute and cannot wait to go back!
