Casa Pérola is a luxury semi detached bungalow on the up market Clube Golfemar alongside Vale de Milho Golfe Course. On the bungalow park there is a wonderful swimming pool & one for toddlers. The bungalow is furnished to a very high standard, a luxury fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, consist of 2 bedrooms (1 double & 1 twin) & 2 bathrooms, both with en-suite facilities with showers. The house also has satellite TV and VHS player, DVD player, sound system & CD player, double glazed throughout, electric shutters on doors & windows for security & comfort. The price includes for a maximum occupancy of four persons. There are available for infants a baby-bed & a baby-chair. It enjoys fabulous sea views from its own patio & roof-terrace. For the winter there is also a wood burning fireplace. The house is air-conditioned (warm/cold). The property is non-smoking & guests are requested to respect this policy.

Golf: Our properties on the Clube Golfemar complex look out on Vale do Milho 9 hole par 3 course. The Nick Price/David Leadbetter, the Pestana Golff Resort (Vale do Pinta and Gramacho) is 10 minutes drive. The Henry Cotton Penina and the Alto Club Championship Courses, Salgados Links, Palmares and the new Golf do Morgardo courses are all within a 20 minutes drive. Vale do Lobo is only a 40 minute drive away. Discounted green fees and special packages are available on many courses. There are beaches, bars, restaurants, tennis courts and a mini-market close by and nearby is Vale de Milho Golfe course. Carvoeiro town with its many bars and restaurants is only a few minutes drive away.

We've stayed in various accomodations in Algarve in the last four years and this was definitely the nicest. The view of the Atlantic, the Lighthouse and the countryside around is pretty special. It was certainly the home away from home that we wanted and provided a great base for our holiday. It was just as described - comfortable, private, quiet, well-equipped, clean and all the other things one wants in a holiday home and we were very well looked after by the property manager and cleaner. The sizeable pool and surrounds were lovely; plenty of space, never crowded. Apart from Carvoeiro itself - which is a good town with good resources - Golfemar is within easy striking distance of various towns such as Lagoa, Albufeira, Lagos, Alvor, Portimao, Ferragudo, Guia, the amazing sand Fesa, Algarve shopping and of course Silves and Monchique and lots of other places to explore if that's your thing. Lagoa deserves more attention that it gets and is worth a ramble. Slide and Splash is close by and the kids loved it there. A half day or so is probably enough. Some of the best cove beaches in Algarve are within a few minutes drive. Centiannes is a nice 10 or 15 minute walk. Carvalho and Benagil 5 minute's drive, Marinha 10 mins. Caneiros beach is 15 mins away to the west of Carvoeiro and worth the trip. Rocha Brava complex is within spitting distance for the nearest bar and shop. Restaurant Jardim Do Farol, around the corner, is a hidden jewel (Cash only). Casa Perola gave us the option to stay put or travel around, or both. For us a car was well-worth the rental. Overall we had a very positive experience, including the booking process and communication with the owner. The only negative was having to leave.
