A Nossa Casa is a fabulous, recently completed 4 bed villa with private pool of extremely high quality, close to beaches, bars and restaurants. On 3 levels, (including the basement/garage), this villa is for the discerning family who require quality furnishings, fittings, and decor whilst on their well deserved break. The full leather seating in the lounge and huge solid oak dining table with leather insert chairs bears testimony to this. The whole villa was designed to the owners' specification with a bright and colourful outlook and specific colour themes in each bedroom. The ground floor consists of the huge open plan lounge/dining area, plus 2 twin bedrooms, a bath/shower room, separate WC, the kitchen and utility room. A flight of stairs leads to the upper floor where there are two double bedrooms, both with en-suite bath/shower rooms. Both bedrooms have patio access to the huge upper sun terrace where there is a table, chairs and parasols. .

The villa is close to Ferragudo, only minutes walk to Caneiros Beach with it's excellent restaurant on stilts. The area is full of other quality properties, some similar to A Nossa Casa. Less than 10 mins walk away is a serene Piano Bar Restaurant with a fabulous ambiance. A small mini-mercado is only 5 minutes away for daily goods such as milk, bread, newspapers etc.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A 25% non returnable deposit is required to seal the booking. The balance plus a returnable £150 Breakages and Damages deposit is required 2 calendar months prior to arrival. Above prices are for 8 persons. 9th/10th persons will attract an additional charge of £50 each per week per person. Air conditioning, (and heating from same units) is charged at £35 per week if required.
  • Towels will be changed every 3/4 days, linen once per week. Maid service supplied free of charge weekly.
    Pool heating is available at £125 for the first week and £60 per week thereafter. The first week charge is higher because the pool is heated to the required warm temperature for guests on arrival, not merely switched on when they arrive. This involves using boost method 3 days prior to guests' arrival.
  • Check in time is strictly 14:00 and check out at 10:00 to allow for full clean.

Notes: The spacious bright lounge area has seating for 8 on quality leather furniture, a Samsung flat screen TV with connected free-to-air sat channels, and a DVD/VHS/CD entertainment system. The dining area has a solid oak dining table with seating for 8, with a further quality CD music system. Two large patio doors provide access to the well-sheltered pool terrace area, where there is a table and chairs for guests' comfort. Steps lead down to the pool terrace area where a beautiful kidney-shaped mosaic tiled pool is situated. Significant external lighting, plus two underwater spots provide excellent illumination ambiance for evening BBQ's and pool area functions. Upstairs, there are two en-suite double bedrooms, both with huge wardrobes and ample storage. From both of these bedrooms, there is patio door access to the huge upper sun terrace. There is a table, chairs and parasol for guests to relax, drink a bottle of Portuguese wine and enjoy the views.

Golf: There are numerous 18 hole championship golf courses within 15 minutes drive of the villa. Pinta and Gramacho (where David Leadbetter's academy is situated) are the nearest. Penina and Alto courses are a little further away (20 mins). For those of you who are starters, there is an excellent 9 hole par 3 course at Vale de Milho, also within 15 minutes drive.

Places to Go: Two recommendations for sightseeing are Monchique and Silves. Monchique is in the mountains 900 ft above sea level to the north of Ferragudo and is somewhat untouched by tourism invasion. One of the interesting tours is the 17th century Franciscan monastery overlooking the town where visitors can experience fantastic panoramic views of the countryside. Silves, occupied by the Moors in the 11th century was later known as the Kingdom of the Algarve. Why not take a look at Silves Castle then relax in one of the many nearby cafes with a glass of wine and a Morgados cake (made with pumpkin), a speciality of the town. There are sightseeing tours to almost every part of the Algarve. If guests require to go further, Gibraltar and Lisbon are also on offer.

Things to Do: There are two water splash parks in the area, Slide and Splash (10 mins) and Aqualand (25 mins). Zoomarine, where you can witness shows involving dolphins, tropical birds, birds of prey, seals and sea lions, is approx 25 mins away. You can also swim with dolphins here. There is also a zoo at Algoz, some 30 mins drive. There are several boat tours on offer, mainly from the quayside at Portimao, taking you to various locations around the coastline (also the caves) and up the Arade River. There are dolphin watch tours, champagne cruises, deep sea fishing cruises, full day sailing cruises, something for all. Inexpensive sightseeing flights around the Algarve are available in a light plane with up to 3 passengers, (British piloted). Please ask for details.

Fabulous Villa

We spent 2 fabulous weeks at A Nossa Casa at the end of July and can't recommend it highly enough.

The villa is immaculate throughout and excellently equipped. The layout (with 2 en-suite bedrooms upstairs) was ideal for our 2 families. The pool was a high point for us, particularly with 3 kids.

The location was ideal, with several restaurants and the lovely (if busy) Caneiros beach in walking distance and the village of Ferragudo a short drive away. It was also handy to have the mini market and internet access at Vila Gaivota just around the corner.

Every amenity has been provided at the villa, from the fabulous kitchen, the huge amount of storage space and even a comprehensive collection of books, cd's, dvd's and maps and guides.

The welcome pack was a really nice touch and it was particularly helpful to know that the very friendly Maria was always on the end of the telephone, should the need arise.

Highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Wow! Staying at this beautiful villa was all I had hoped for and more. It was modern, clean, had everything we could had possibly needed and a welcome food pack when we arrive so no mad rush to the shops to get stocked up. Perfect when you have small children. It is very spacious and tastefully decorated. A gorgeous beach is available 5 mins walk and there are lots of good restuarants near by. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect!
