This private villa is ideally situated in a quiet location and yet is only a 8 min stroll from the pretty, un-commercialised fishing village of Ferragudo. Casa Laranja has its own private pool in a walled garden with great views over the local unspoilt countryside. The pool has romantic night time lighting and is a delight for both children and adults alike. The shallow end is ideal for children learning to swim or indeed for anyone who prefers to take some time out relaxing out of the hot summer sun. The pool terrace has plenty of space for sun bathing, dining and socialising, and with the added convenience of a BBQ, it is the perfect setting for long lazy lunches or gastronomic feasts in the late evening sunshine. Golf enthusiasts will find many Golf Clubs within easy reach including Meridian Championship, Gramacho and Pinta being only a 3 min drive away and Alto Golf a 20 min drive.

Ferragudo is a picturesque unspoilt fishing village approximately 8 km from Carvoeiro and is considered to be the hidden treasure of The Algarve. Its proximity to the larger resorts of Portimão, Praia da Rocha, Lagos, Carvoeiro and historic Silves make it the ideal centre for the family. There are several golf courses within a 5 mile radius including two Championship Courses at the famous Carvoeiro Golf centre which is only 3km from the Villa.

Excellent villa, light, bright and airy. The pool was lovely and clean and my wife and I used in throughout our stay.
The villa is in an excellent location and an idea base for touring the Algarve although a car is a necessity. Ferragudo is great for the those who prefer a quiet holiday and the restaurants' are VG.
The customer service was just right, professional but discrete.

This is the 3rd time I've used the villa and would hope do so again

Great family holiday!

Me and my family have stayed at Casa Laranja, Ferragudo 3 times in the last 5 years and would recommend it to anyone.

It is in a quiet location, only a short walk to the lovely town which still retains a village feel without too much tourism. If you have a young family and like playgrounds there is a small playground up the road from the villa and another bigger one in the town.

The villa has everything you would need if you want to stay in and laze around the pool and feed yourselves. 5 minutes away in the car are two supermarkets, Lidl and a newish larger supermarket. The village also has little shops that sell most things!

The local beach Playa Grande is a couple of minutes away in the car and it's great and never gets too busy. It has three beach cafe/restaurants, we tend to go to the one on the beach to your right.

There are enough cafe's and restaurants in the village for a fortnights stay. We particularly liked the Pizza restaurant and the O' Barrel. The restaurant up a side street on the right hand side as you walk into the village is also very good. It makes chicken piri piri, can't remember it's full name, Grande Ferragudo?

Anyway I'm sure you will enjoy your stay if you do go. It's good value for money compared to the more touristy resorts and no English/Irish pubs!.

The villa was excellent, it was spotlessly clean and had no end of facilities for us to use - from colouring pencils to DVD's to watch. We stayed with a baby and a toddler and found our stay really comfortable and enjoyable. The pool is lovely and we used it every day (it was late september), our 5 month old baby enjoyed his first dip in the pool and wasn't put off by the slightly cooler temperature. The owners were obliging and friendly. The villa is excellently located for touring around the Algarve - but I would recommend hiring a car, Ferragudo shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance. Ferragudo has a lovely cobbled square that is surrounded by restaurants and we enjoyed spending some time here. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Casa Laranja - it was a lovely stay.

Perfect Retreat

Lovely and airy open plan ground floor, ample bathrooms and good sized double bedrooms. Well equipped and very clean and excellent value for money.

The only downside would be the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms, although fans are provided. The temperature was a steady 28 degrees during our stay but anything above that and it could get quite hot at night.

Ferragudo is very pleasant with some lovely little bars and resteraunts, ideal if you want a nice quiet week. The beaches are excellent, we went to St Lucia and Barbados last year and the beaches there do not touch those at Ferragudo, all are worth investigating.

Would i stay there again? Yes i think i would.

We found this to be an excellent property, very clean and spacious with all mod cons and just a short stroll from the bars, restaurants and beach. It was a luxury to have your own pool area with sun loungers!
