Carvoeiro, a fishing village, 45 minutes from Faro Airport, retains its Portuguese character and the surroundings are thankfully devoid of high rise buildings. The resort has a wide selection of restaurants and bars a few night clubs, boutiques, banks, chemist and local facilities Numerous safe, sandy beaches with stunning cliffs and crystal clear water give superb swimming and water sports. There are beautiful walks along the cliff tops and boat trips can be arranged from the village beach to Algar Seco and the grottos. A car is recommended to reach these and other attractions. namely-Silves, the historical walled town 10km inland. Portimao, the large fishing port 20min drive away; the Monchique mountains with the attractive spa of Caldas da Monchique and the very beautiful quiet west coast now easily accessible on the new motorway.

There is also a well stocked bookcase for the adults so plenty to read while lazing by the pool or on the beach.
Casa Margarida is approached by a gravel driveway and there is plenty of parking space including a shady area under the fir trees to keep your car cool in high summer. There is total privacy in the beautiful gardens and around the secluded pool.
