Magnificent views from this detached villa with heated pool
Magnificent is the only way to describe the view from this south-facing house overlooking the village of Bordeira. Villa Katina has a ten by five meter solar heated pool sanitised by a non-chlorine salt water system, and ample terracing with a built-in gas barbecue. The upstairs master suite has an en suite bathroom, an air conditioning/ heating system and a private balcony where you can enjoy a refreshing sun downer or take breakfast. Two further bedrooms (1 double bed 1 twin beds) on the ground floor share a second bathroom. There is a wood-burning stove in the comfortable lounge/diner. Satellite TV is tuned to most BBC / ITV channels. There is also a Hi-Fi system with radio and a DVD player. Recently refurbished 3 court tennis centre within walking distance. Vila Katina runs on a Thursday to Thursday schedule during the season (April-October) but exceptions can be made during the off-season winter months by arrangement with the owner.

The village of Bordeira lies between the neighbouring villages of Santa Barbara de Nexe and Estoi, within easy reach of Faro, the beaches, golf courses and Lisbon and Seville. The market town of Loule is about twenty minutes away by car and there is a huge shopping center at Faro at more or less the same distance. This shopping center has alarge Auchan supermarket, hundreds of shops,restaurants and a nine screen multiplex cinema. Local restaurants and smaller super markets abound in the area around Bordeira .The villa is situated ona quiet residential complex with fantastic views to the coast. There are some wonderful drives into the surrounding countryside and Bordeira is centrally situated in Algarve so that the west coast and Spain are both within easy each,as are the local beaches and market towns.

....just wanted to say what a fantastic time we had at Vila Katina. Everything was superb. The photos didn't do it justice. We were exceptionally pleased with the location and the views which were amazing. One more thing....can we book again next year? David Goodfellow ( 11th June-18th June 2005)
