Located on a ground floor with spacious terrace, this charming apartment is situated in a small development surrounded by lovely mature gardens, a large pool and tennis court. The development is completely walled in, making it very secluded and private. The entrance to the development is via electronic gates and one parking space is allocated for the tenants. The apartment offers a very good level of comfort and the modern kitchen is fully equipped. The large terrace is ideal for sunbathing and outside eating. It is within short distance of the beach, the Lagos Marina and the 'Palmares' Golf Course. 10 minutes walk from the apartment, lies Meia Praia, a 4km long beach where many beach bars offer great cocktails and lovely salads and meals. Palmares golf course, lies only 10 minutes drive from the apartment. A mini market is only 2 minutes walk from the apartment and other shops and amenities are within 10-15 minutes walk.

Lagos, in a privileged position on the western Algarve is a friendly and historical town offering an invitation to a relaxing holiday. There are fine beaches around Lagos where visitors can enjoy several sport facilities or just simply enjoy a drink or meal at one of the many beach bars available. A variety of Portuguese and international restaurants can also be found and the small narrow cobble streets in the pedestrian center are full of shops with quite a variety of choice. At the promenade, boat trips are available where visitors can visit the fantastic rock formations and sea caves. Lagos can now be reached by the new motorway allowing for a much easier and quick trip from Faro airport. To the west of Lagos, Cape St. Vicent is only 30 minutes drive and many unspoilt beaches and rural and fishing villages can be found within a short distance. Several golf courses and a Zoo are within a maximum of 20 minutes drive.

  • Rental prices are for 2 persons. An extra £50 is charged per person per week. Children ages three and under go free except July/August. We do not insist on Saturday-to-Saturday. 1 to 3 month winter lets can be arranged at lower rates. Rates include provision of bed linen and towels. A deposit of £100 is taken against damage. Accidental damage to small items, e.g, glasses is excluded. Winter rates are excluded of gas and with long lets utilities are charged separately in accordance to consumption.

Beaches: In Lagos, there are several lovely beaches to visit. Meia Praia, a 4km sandy beach only a few minutes from the apartment, offers several water sport facilities, it is ideal for windsurfing and surfing. All along Meia Praia beach, there are many beach bars where visitors can enjoy lovely meals and drinks. Praia da Dona Ana, Praia do Camilo and Porto de Mós, are other popular beaches located 5 minutes drive from the apartment, also worth visiting.

Activities: Over the past years, the western Algarve has become an international destination for many golfers and holidaymakers. There is a wide selection of golf courses around Lagos. Palmares, an 18 hole golf course is only 2 minutes drive from the apartment. Boavista and Parque da Floresta Golf courses are other alternatives only a few minutes drive. Water sport activities can be found in several beaches and boat trips from the Lagos Marina can be bought at good prices. Water Parks such as, Slide and Splash and Big One are only 30 minutes drive and are excellent for the children. Lagos Zoo is only 15 minutes drive inland and the Zoomarine, 35 minutes drive east, is definitively worth visiting.

Lagos Town: The town centre is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment. The centre of Lagos has a very friendly atmosphere with its cobble streets with many restaurants and esplanades where visitors can have lovely meals enjoying the sun. A great variety of shops are also a delight for visitors. Lagos, being a very historical town has lovely churches, a museums and a fort worth visiting.

We stayed here in May '08 and had an lovely time. The apartment was very big and of a good standard. The views across the pool to the sea were fantastic. Perfect location - just outside of the town but a lovely short walk to get there - 5 mins max - via the marina.

Carla was very friendly and helpful.

There are some lovely restaurants nearby at the Marina and especially on the beach front.
