My wife and I stayed here a week in September and it provided a great place to unwind, good accessibility to the marina (5mins walk) and old town (10-15mins walk). Lagos is a great place and we loved the atmosphere, friendliness, and safe feel of the place. We would both highly recommend Lagos and also the apartment - it was great value and just what we were looking for. The pictures and descriptions are spot-on for giving you an idea of the views and the location, but it doesn't beat being there!
We had a hire car, which was inexpensive for just the two of us - the costs balanced fairly well, offset against an airport transfer and the convenience of having transport. The off-street car parking and privacy of the complex provided that extra peace of mind. The apartment location, although not central, provided a great base for getting around the town - we often parked near the marina and walked from there, but could have just easily not used the car - we felt we may as well use it. You could manage not having one, but trips to the nearby and well-stocked Pingo Dolce supermarket would be more of a chore.
The apartment was well equipped; perhaps the decor was a little dated, but comfortable overall. No air-conditioning, which we were worried about, but we managed just fine as all the windows can be kept open with the shutters kept down.
The pool was a highlight as it meant that you could always have a perfect spot for sun-bathing and cooling off. Also, the balcony view provides one of the highest view points, possibly in all of Lagos!
Finally, the owner couldn't have been more helpful and efficient in keeping the holiday smooth-running - you will be in capable hands!
