Lagos is an interesting historical town and there are still many architectural signs of its ancient past. The town’s magnificent new marina provides a contrast to the narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed houses in the town. There are many cove beaches to discover along the coast as far as Cape St Vincent, the most southwesterly tip of Europe. Within easy reach of Lagos are superb golf courses, a zoo and water parks. The nearby bus and train stations will take you to fishing towns like Portimao or Sagres. In season a regular road train runs between the town, the Marina and the beaches.

A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Full payment is required eight weeks prior to arrival together with £100 security deposit, which will be refunded once the apartment has been checked for any breakages/damage.

Transport

A car is not necessary. Private transfers can be arranged from Faro airport at a cost of 90 Euros each way. The train from Faro to Lagos takes 1 hour 40 minutes with the first train leaving Faro at 07.05 and the last one at 22.05. The first train from Lagos is at 06.08 and the last at 19.08 and costs just a few Euros. There is also an excellent bus service.

Things to do

There are several water parks and a marine zoo within 30 minutes drive. The Marina offers boat trips to the grottoes and dolphin safaris. A two screen cinema, 5 minutes walk from the apartment, features the latest films in English. There are open-air summer concerts at the amphitheatre in the town and the cultural centre frequently has recitals and art exhibitions. There are two daily fresh fish markets in the town and on Saturday there is a local farmers market. The nearest golf course is the 18 hole Boavista Golf course situated between Lagos and Luz and the Palmares Golf Course is a 10 minute drive away, set out overlooking the bay of Lagos with amazing views.

I stayed in Lagos with 3 friends in Sepetember 07, we had a fantastic time and the apartments definitely made it loads better!
They're in a great location, not right in the middle of the town but not too far away either.
The pictures of the apartments and their surroundings on the website looked great and when we arrived it didn't disappoint!
They're lovely, fresh, modern, well maintained and were an absolute pleasure to stay in!
We found that the apartment had all the facilities we required such as cooking utensils, washing machine, dish washer, plenty of space, tv, dvds, magazines, brollies, sun lounger covers & even some beach gear!!
We particularly enjoyed the balcony area for a few drinks and having our tea on many evenings!
There are some great restaurants in Lagos ... our favourites were Mullins for a nice steak and a bit of quirkyness and a thai restaurant called the Lemon Grass, this was our favourite and we managed two visits during our stay!!
I would definitely stay here again if I was visiting Lagos and I would certainly recommend it to others!!!
