Lagos Town holiday apartment: Lagos

My wife and I stayed here in Sep 09 and loved it. The apartment is lovely - quite a new build, in spotless condition. Furnishings are un-fussy and clean and simple. Secure underground parking is a bonus if you have a hire car.
The balcony is street-side and offers great people watching during that cool 7pm beer! The pool area is lovely and quiet (least it was when we were there!) making it very relaxing.
Lagos has a great mix of people - young couples, families, older couples, party people - and there's something for eveyone.
The walk into town is genty downhill, a little over 5 mins. Once there, there's a multitude of bars/restaurants/cafes to choose from. We recommend grabbing a drink outside at the Gil Eanes bar in the corner of the square and watching the world go by, or taking in some of the buskers or entertainers that frequent here (though the human statue bloke was terrible - couldn't stand still for more than 30 seconds before he needed a fag break!).
Dolphin Seafaris (down at he Marina, the ones with the large, VERY fast red boat) is a must - great value, great experience.
The supermarket over the road is great for essentials, but we found the big Intermarche about half a mile away much better for stocking up.
Great communication form the owner, and we were met promptly by the representative on arrival.

We had a great time, and when we (inevitably) return to Lagos, this will be our definite first choice again.

This apartment was a lovely little find. It was imaculately presented and the reading material land books left on the coffee table set the mood for our relaxing break as soon as we had unpacked! The location really is perfect for walking into town, down a fabulous old street with some lovely shops and bars and the beaches were only a short walk away. The lady who owns the coffee shop opposite the apartment serves the best coffee and it was full of locals that were great for people watching! The information given on restaurants and bars was a big help as we only experienced great food.
If you are lucky enough to be there when the lady at the bottom of the street is selling strawberries - be sure to try them as they were delicious! The pool area was very quiet and a real suntrap! We would definately recommend this to our friends.

I stayed in this apartment in November 2008. It was well located, however it was at the top of a hill which may not suit some people with mobility difficulties. It was a short walk to the main town and the beaches. There was carparking available on the street but we used the secure carpark which was great.
The property was clean and well maintained.
The owner was quick to respond to e-mails and very pleasant.
There was a good supermarket across the street and some cafes nearby.
The only thing missing was some extras like tea/coffee or salt/pepper in the kitchen but we purchased some.
Would highly recommend this property to other people.
