Situated in one of the main streets 2 minutes walk from town centre and ten minutes walk from nearest beach. Set in a traditional style townhouse it offers a comfortable sunny lounge, large kitchen/diner with gas hob/electric oven, one double and one twin bedroom, two balconies both south-facing and a large private roof terrace, perfect for sunbathing/ barbecuing, with rooftop and ocean views. It has Sky (UK) TV and satellite dish, CD player/radio and DVD player. It has a bathroom with shower, WC & bath and a separate WC with bidet. It also has a dishwasher, washing machine, iron, toaster, microwave, and roof terrace and balcony furniture. Ideal for non-drivers where everything you need is close by and to hand. Lagos Town Center is 78 kilometers from Faro. Driving time is about 50 minutes on the A22 four lane motorway. Hire car firms will meet and take you to Lagos and the fare is around £80.00 return for four people (Season dependent). The Lagos Marina is five minutes walk from Glenmore Apartment. There are boat trips for viewing caves, snorkeling and sea fishing as well as dolphin watching. Being surrounded by golf courses, country preservation areas and places of natural beauty, the surrounding 16th century fortresses are worth a visit. The local beach is only 10 minutes easy walk from the apartment and more lovely beaches at Praia da Luz,Burgau and Alvor easily reachable by car or bus. Meia Pria beach, nearly a mile long, is15 minutes walk from Glenmore apartment. Sagres (The End of the World) and Cape St Vincent is wildly beautiful. Lagos is centrally located in Algarve to visit East or West towns and cities and is about 3 hours by car from Lisbon or two hours to the Spanish border

Saturdays are the preferred days to commence rentals. These however may be altered to accommodate clients by completing a booking form indicating your preferences in order to accommodate your flight times. Minimum renting period is five days. A security deposit is required in addition to the rental cost. Please indicate the dates you wish to rent and we will send you a Booking Form which will be the form used to confirm your booking when returned with a 25% deposit of the rental cost.

Notes to the rental rates

  • A completed booking form must be returned. ( Details given when booking).
    Prices quoted are all-inclusive.
    A deposit of 25% of the rental value is payable within ten days of deciding to rent.
    Rental balance and refundable security deposit of 150 Euros/£100 is payable 8 weeks before the start of the rental period.
    Payment details will be made available at time of booking.
    The separate security cheque is returnable after each rental period following apartment inspection.
    UK CLIENTS MAY PAY IN UK POUNDS STERLING.
    N.B. Full payment must be received 8 weeks prior to the start of the rental period in order to finalise the reservation. If booking less than 8 weeks prior to renting the full rental amount must be paid.

  • This delightful two bedroom apartment is situated right in the heart of Lagos town centre. In addition to 2 bedrooms there is a spacious breakfast/dining room with balcony and another balcony leading from the living room. Both are south-facing allowing maximum sunlight into the apartment. There is also a large private roof terrace with sea view allowing you to enjoy outdoor living as well as being nestled within this historic Portuguese town. The apartment has been refurbished to a very high standard. Modernised light airy bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, tiled floors and modern fittings and bed coverings. The apartment contains dishwasher, washing machine/drier, colour TV and satellite dish receiving UK TV/radio programmes, iron, toaster, microwave, CD player, DVD player, fridge, freezer, dehumidifier, room cooler/heater and balcony and private roof terrace, patio furniture and barbecue, including 4 sunbeds, table and 4 chairs.

Glenmore Apartment is on the second floor with three balconies and a large private roof terrace and is not suitable for children under 10 years. Infirm elderly would have 2 flights of stairs to climb and no lifts or wheelchair ramp may make accessibility difficult. There is limited free parking as it is located in the town centre although there is ample large free parking within walking distance of the apartment.

In and around Lagos

Sam & Ingrid hope you will enjoy their apartment which is also their home when they are in Portugal. The ancient walls of the town within which Glenmore Apartment is situated are steeped in history although now the town is youthful & bustling with a refreshing charm all of its own. It is an easy place to be to while away your time or use as a base from which to explore the western Algarve. The town is historically significant and the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Moors have all been and left their marks. Restaurants are plentiful & varied and within a few minutes walk from Glenmore. The slave market was the site of Portugal's first slave trading of African slaves. Lagos has three of the twenty-five golf courses in the Algarve within 10 minutes drive from the town. You can take a boat ride or walk to the Ponta da Piedade, a fantastically shaped headland of remarkable beauty. There are many excellent beaches the nearest being only 10 minutes walk from Glenmore apartment.

What a great time we had in this place! It was spacious, clean, very comfortable and very well appointed. Also, a real bonus was the excellent outside space - a huge terrace and other smaller verandahs. Situated literally minutes from the hub of a small town with an abundance of restaurants, bars etc and within easy reach of some of the Algarve's nicest beaches and towns. We had hired a car, and although we always managed to park, sometimes it was not right outside the apartment - a very minor gripe. In fact, given the location, a car is not necessary at all as there's so much to see and do within walking distance of the flat, or by using public transport. All in all, one of the nicest apartments we've holidayed in in Portugal and we're certainly going to stay here again in the future!
