Marina Park holiday apartment: Lagos

This apartment both met and exceeded expectations. It was a fantastic size. We had 2 adults and 3 teenagers stopping in it and we had loads of room. Bedrooms were all big and would easily fit 6 adults in the 3 rooms. The kitchen had everything you needed and we were quite happy to stay in and cook some nights. The bathrooms were fully fitted although the showers were badly fitted and so you had to hold the showerhead as you couldn't stad under them. This was a minor fault though against how great everything else was. The best feature has to e the balcony, it is huge with a table big enough for 6, sunchairs an still enough room to dry your washing out the way. We ate breakfast on the balcony everyday and it was a great way to start the day
For such a large resort it was very peaceful. We never had any problems getting sunbeds (a first) or parasols for shade. The only downside was that they had a lot of rules about the pool including not playing ball games in or around the pool. They were very strict on this and it did reduce the fun for the kids a bit.
The apartments are at the top of a fairly steep hill, not a problem for us but may be if you have young children or aren't able to walk very well.
The local beach is about 15-20 mins walk and is great. Hire of sunbeds was very reasonable and there are lots of fantastic beachars to eat in. Lindas beachbar is a must!
The marina has a limited amount of restaurants and bars but you really need to walk into the old town - about 30 mins at a steady pace. Here there is loads of choice for eating out.
I would happily recommend this apartment to our friends and are likely to return.
