Spacious apartment tastefully decorated in modern, colourful style. Set in a very quiet area of the Marina complex, windows and balcony open on to a beautifully park. The spacious living/dining room has 2 comfortable settees. Dining table sits 6. Large French windows lead on to a veranda with 4 chairs and table so guests can relax and enjoy meals al fresco. The main bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom, the other room two single beds. Both have built-in wardrobes and the second bathroom has a shower. As the apartment is the holiday house of the owners special attention has been given to detail: good quality cotton linen and towels, complete kitchenware, table set of Vista Alegre china, television set (English / International channels) DVD and CD player, a choice of books and some family games. First aid box and fire blanket are available. Guests have access to the Marina Resort private pool. The apartment is cleaned twice a week and linen is changed weekly.

The apartment is situated at the exclusive, award winning Marina de Lagos, in a complex of buildings designed by renowned architects. A quiet area but close to restaurants, bars and supermarket (50 mts). The centre of Lagos (500 mts) and the wonderful Meia Praia beach, an uninterrupted stretch (5 kms) of fine white sand, just 500 mts (ten minute walk) from the apartment. The Lagos Marina complex, recently distinguished with the Gold Anchor Award and the Euromarina Anchor Award, is one of the biggest Marinas in the country. Guests have access to the Marina Club that offers a fantastic swimming pool. Its shape, fountains and palm tree island grant it a unique character. A reserved area for youngsters is available. The recently inaugurated Spa offers all the necessary facilities to relax and stay in good shape, including a fitness room, sauna and large jacuzzi. The Palmares and Boavista golf courses on the outskirts of Lagos offer beautiful location and excellent facilities.

It is suitable for children and the balcony overlooks a park with a small pond and a childrens play area in a beautifully landscaped area. The living room is spacious and set in a manner to provide a suitable area for children to play indoors. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, stove, micro-wave oven, washing machine and dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster and coffee machine. An iron and ironing board are also available. The Marina complex has round the clock security. The house sleeps four but arrangements can be made to cater for two more children. Any special needs may be considered upon a timely request.

Lagos: The town of Lagos, once visited by Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Moors is strongly associated with Portugal’s maritime history. Part of the old city walls dating back to the 15th century are still standing, while the city centre and the beautiful church of St. Antonio (the Golden Church) have been preserved. The town offers a wide variety of traditional and modern cuisine as well as bars with live music and a Cultural Centre that hosts concerts, plays and exhibitions. In the vicinity you will find several beaches (Meia Praia, Batata, Porto de Mós, Praia de Luz), grottos (which can be visited by organized boat trips) and in the Ponta da Piedade you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the coastline. Beautiful pictures of Lagos and the beaches can be found on the site.

Sagres: In the outskirts of the village of Sagres (30 kms west of Lagos) lies the Cape St. Vicent - the most south-westerly tip of Europe - where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the coast and the Atlantic Ocean. Here the sunset is a spectacular event.

The apartment was spacious, clean and well located for a short walk to marina side bars and resturants and a further 5-10 minute walk into the heart of Lagos.

I would recommend this apartment which although was adjacent to a childerns playing area, was also quiet, suprisingly cool considering there was no air-con and near enough to the marina and town nightlife.

Some lovely resturants are close by with our favorite being a locally run fresh fish resturant on the harbour adjacent to the bridge leading to town.
