Lovely apartment on the 1st floor with magnificent view overlooking harbour front at Marina de Lagos. The Marina is very well located within walking distance of beach & town centre. There are a variety of shops, cafes & restaurants on the Marina itself so a car is not really necessary. The apartment with lift access, is spacious & ideal for a family with children. There is plenty of parking in front of the apartment & on the other side of the road there is a free car park. The apartment, with lift access, comprises of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge and kitchen. There is a spacious balcony with tables & chairs for outside dining. The Marina complex has a 24 hour security surveillance by one of the largest European private security corporations 'Securitas' including TV cameras connected to security central at all garage entries.

The Algarve, Portugal's south facing Atlantic coast, is one of Europe's favourite holiday destinations and Lagos is situated towards the south west of the Algarve. This beautiful town, steeped in history of seafaring voyages, is a magnet for tourists. There are a variety of beaches ranging from vast sandy expanses, which are swept clean by Atlantic tides and small coves with spectacular rock formations, some of these coves can only be reached by boat. In the summer the Algarve weather is as hot as in any Mediterranean resort and the winters are pleasantly mild. Inland, there is pretty countryside and villages barely touched by tourism. The Monchique hills add interest, while historic sights like the town of Silves are well worth a visit. Both on the coast and inland there are plenty of excellent golf courses.

Great Apartment, Location and a Lovely Holiday

As we had been to Lagos 12 years ago and loved it back then we knew what to expect and were not disappointed this time. The apartment is in a great location overlooking the marina and the rental included the use of the lovely swimming pool in the 4 star hotel which was next door. The centre of Lagos is about a 10 minute walk over the bridge that takes you over the estury, where there are lots of shops, restaurants and all sorts of other activities going on during the evening as well. We ate out nearly every evening and have no complaints about any of the 7 or 8 restaurants that tried, they were all excellent (make sure you try some of the fish dishes). Some of the beaches around Lagos stunning but so different, long open sandy one and the stunning coves to the west of Lagos. I would reccomend a trip to Luz and Burgau, Luz has a stunning beach and some nice places to eat and Burgau is a quiet resort again with a lovely beach and a handful of restaurants. I would wholly recommend this apartment and Lagos and we will be going back, hopefully in the not too distant future.
