Large ground floor, south facing, 2 bedroom apartment in a small complex of privately owned apartments, with large 15 x 8 mts swimming pool, (including children's pool) with outside shower. Set in 600sq mts mature landscape gardens. The apartment being on the ground floor benefits from a large grassed area in front of apartment. The complex is a few minutes from the centre of Lagos, the new modern Marina, and the large safe Meia Praia beach. There are a variety of beaches in the town with many others a short drive from Lagos to suit all tastes. With a host of other leisure facilities near at hand.

Lagos is the third largest town in the Algarve and steeped in history, dating back to the Moorish invasion. The old part of the town, where the original walls of the town remain, has been beautifully restored with its cobbled streets and flower decked squares. Lagos was the home port of many explorers who first charted the spice routes to India, along with the very first slave market in Europe, the building where the slave auctions took place can be seen today selling arts and crafts. In the town centre boutiques and antique shops sell copper, brass and pewter whilst the terrific variety of restaurants, bars and cafes offer mouth watering menus and thirst quenching local and international beers and wines.

Sailing: The Apartment is approx 1 hours drive from Faro International Airport where many of the low cost airlines fly from many regional UK and European airports. Near to the apartments there are many leisure activities, being near to the marina there are many boat trips including anything from hiring a private yacht for the day or just a few hours to visit the Grottos of Ponte da Piedade or take a BBQ Cruise in the bay of Lagos and along the most impressive cave and rock formations.

Golf: The apartment is ideally situated for Golfing holidays being within 15 minutes from 5 great golf courses of Palmares, Boavista, Parque de Floresta, Alto Club and the world famous Sir Henry Cotton's Penina Golf Complex. Many other courses are within 1 hours drive of the apartment. The the apartment is also with 20 minute drive of the brand new (open Nov 2009),Autodromo Internacional do Algarve at Mexelhoeira Grande (please, contact us for link) FIA and FIM approved for Formula 1 and Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Other Activities : There are several excellent horse riding clubs along the coast and near to Lagos, a Zoo located just outside Lagos in the village of Barao de S. Joao. a Slide and Splash park in Lagoa. There are many walks taking you into lovely countryside, or along spectacular sections of the coastline which you are unlikely to see except on foot (There is a guide of these walks in the apartment for guests to use during there stay).

Heerlijke vakantie in topappartement

In mei hebben we twee heerlijke weken in dit appartement doorgebracht. De locatie is dichtbij een prachtig langerekt zandstrand, In minder dan tien minuten rijdt je naar de beschutte stranden, met de rotsen eromheen, net zo mooi als op de toeristische foto's van de Algarve. Het appartement heeft twee luxe badkamers, in op en top conditie. Net als de keuken, die net nieuw was toen wij er waren. Omdat het appartement op de begane grond is, heb je veel ruimte buiten voor ligstoelen, een BBQ en eettafel. Je loopt in een paar seconde naar het prachtige zwembad, met een speciaal gedeelte voor kinderen. Toen wij er waren was het zwembad heerlijk rustig, vaker een borreltje gedronken bij de pool. Lagos is een oud stadje, met veel restaurantjes, een mooie haven, veel winkeltjes en paar grote supermarkten. Kortom, het appartment is perfect voor families, maar ook een prima stek voor stellen.

We have recently returned after a week spent at this lovely apartment. It is well equipped with everything you could possibly need or want on holiday.

The apartment was spacious with comfortable seating both inside and out.
The bathrooms were clean and modern with good showers.

The welcome pack was appreciated as we had a bite to eat and a beer before going shopping.

The location was lovely and quiet with often the only noise being that of the birds!

Having hired a car this was useful to save the walk into town, which although not far is uphill on the way back and unlit at night.

We would certainly return for another holiday.

The apartment was modern, clean and comfortable and every consideration was made for our arrival with both made up beds and food and drink to get us started. The location is terrific, and the garden and pool are looked after on a daily basis.
Lots of information on local restaurants and activities were available and the owners ensured that all of our requirements and needs were met,resulting in a wonderful relaxed holiday.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone as both the service and the property were excellent.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely apartment with our daughter and her 10 week old baby when we came to La gos for our youngest daughters wedding and were delighted with the comfort and spaciousness of the property. We found all the equipment we needed to make our stay most enjoyable and were very impressed by the standard of the funishings and fittings. The location was ideal for us being very peaceful but close enough to the town to be within walking distance. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.

Last September we stayed at this lovely Apartment and were very impressed...so much so that we are determined to return. We were pleased that it was so clean and well equipped...everything you need is there, even Sky T.V.! The welcome pack was good too..it enabled us to have a good lunch soon after arriving..we sat outside in the sunshine. There are many interesting places to visit in the vicinity including beaches and little towns, mountains and scenic areas. We never had time to be bored! In the evening we enjoyed walking down into town past the lively Marina...often stopping for a drink in one of the bars there. There is an excellent selection of restaurants, in town, to suit all tastes and budgets. Our Daughter and Son-in-law joined us for the last few days of the holiday and were also impressed with everything. It really is a brilliant place to go.
