Golf:
The Algarve is a golfers paradise, there are many courses along its length, the nearest to our apartment is Palmares which is only a couple of minutes away, Boa vista and Parque de Floresta are 10 - 15 minutes away, the championship courses at Penina are 15-20 minutes away. The Vilamoura courses are a 30 - 40 minute drive (pardon the pun)
Beach:
The glorious stretch of Meia Praia is virtually on your doorstep, it can be accessed via a short walk over the dunes or a short drive down a quiet road, there are loads of free parking areas. Lovely beach bars and restaurants provide snacks and meals, it is possible to eat a lovely freshly made meal and watch the sunset over the sea, all for very little cost. The beach is never packed even in high season, pedalos and banana rides are available in some parts.
The beaches to the west are more rugged and provide waves big enough for serious surfing.Some beaches you can more or less have to yourselves. There is surfing on these beaches, it is possible to enrol in a surf class.
Praia Don Ana and Porto do Mos are on the other side of Lagos town , both are well worth a visit.
Lagos and the surrounding area is certainly a beach lovers heaven.
When you fancy a change there is a brand new municipal swimming pool complex a short walk away, it is state of the art with gym, hydro pool etc etc.

All round a brilliant time was had by all, great place for couples, plenty of space, good food, lots of places to visit and things to do, hope to return soon. Val, Ian, John & Ann.
A great apartment for all the family (5) plenty of room, couldn't fault it, loads for kids in area, ours loved the Dolphin trip and water park, people in restaurants and shops very child friendly. Many thanks for best family holiday.The Kay family.
Lovely walks, beach and town fantastic, never stayed in such a well equipped apartment, stayed in winter and log fire was so good, plenty warm enough with heaters in all rooms. Would definitely recommend it. Jean & Alec.
