This review is long overdue, and I've been debating on whether to post it because I want the Villa to be available next time I'm there! ;)
A girlfriend and I decided to do Europe last year and went cruising around this site to find where we wanted to go. Well when we found Vista Dos Pescadores, we knew we found one of our destinations. My email enquiry was answered promptly by the beautiful and gracious Miss Val.
She answered the smallest & silliest of questions over the course of the next 5 months - *every* single email, and had all kinds of personal tips and advice to offer - not intrusive, just incredibly helpful and insightful information - a wealth of knowledge for the Algarve to be sure. Miss Val made us feel like we were her only clients and we appreciate her time immensly.
When we sent this site to another girlfriend, she just *had* to come and join us! :) ....So we were three single gals from Canada - first time in Portugal. (so when I say 'silly questions'...trust me, I had a couple. Heh)
The Villa is even better than in the pictures (!) - when we opened up the doors to the balcony, we were taken aback and breathless at first the view - and then at the size & beauty of our private lanai. Well kept, clean, and welcoming. Beautiful flowers, a palm tree, and a 12 foot deep seawall seperating us from the common folk ;) who were taking strolls along the stone walk beside the ocean.
We made ourselves at home in the spacious, clean, comfortable and ~*beautiful*~ indoors - unpacking while 'oohing and aahing' to each other about this incredible find.
2 of the bedrooms have a door to a patio, and the Master Suite has a door to the plunger-pool-balcony-lanai. The kitchen is large and roomy - perfect for 3 gals that like being creative in the kitchen. The dining room and living room area are roomy with no one tripping over each other.
We had more than one party at the Villa - and there was more than enough room for everyone. We used the many candles and candle holders the Villa was decorated - thank you for having them there!
The cleaning staff that came in during mid-week did a beautiful job with personal touches all around.
This is an excellent location - on the beach (but you have to walk to the beach unless you jump down the seawall- heh- - you're perched up 4 metres or so) and there's a pretty little shortcut to the grocery store and 'center' of town.
