Located in a prestigious area of Praia da Luz, this first floor apartment, built in 2002 is one of four individually designed units (the only one with 2 bathrooms), set in mature gardens with a large swimming pool. The apartment has 180 degree sea views being south facing with a balcony overlooking the pool, garden and sea. The accommodation consists of 2 twin bedrooms both with built in wardrobes one with a safe and 2 bathrooms one en suite, with a shower, toilet and wash hand basin and one with bath/shower, wash hand basin and toilet. The lounge and dining areas are very light and airy with views to the sea, the separate, modern, well-equipped kitchen has granite worktops with breakfast bar, gas hob/ electric oven, microwave, family-sized fridge freezer,washing machine and all amenities. The south facing balcony has sun loungers that fold so they can be taken into the garden/pool area, table, 4 chairs and a sun umbrella. The property enjoys separate access and private parking

The apartment is within easy walking distance of the village, supermarket, blue flag beach, shops, sports facilities and over 20 restaurants. The town of Lagos is only a 5Km drive or 10 minute bus ride away it has lots of shops, numerous restaurants, a marina and the availability of many day trips. There is a bus stop just 125 yards from the apartment with buses to Lagos, Burgau, etc. Two golf courses Parque da Floresta 7Km drive and Boavista 2Km from the apartment. Praia da Luz is a small village in typical Portuguese style with whitewashed buildings and cobbled streets. The village also has a 17century coastal fort now a restaurant with spectacular views. The church of Nossa Senhora da Luz (Our lady of the light) from which the village takes its name is set within the centre.

This is a great apartment situated in a quiet area of Prai da Luz but only a short walk away from the shops, a beautiful beach and a great choice of restaurants. It has private off-road parking and is well situated for easy access to many other small villages and beaches along the coastline. The apartment is well maintained, tastefully decorated, very clean and tidy and has all the features needed to make a relaxing and enjoyable holiday including two lovely bathrooms. We particularly liked the sea views, a good size mature garden with a lovely pool area. As it is only one of four appartments and surrounded by privately owned villas it feels very spacious and uncrowded.

Luz itself is a great holiday location. It has old world charm, a fantastic safe beach, great choice of shops, a supermarket and lots of good restaurants. The port town of Lagos with its many facilities is just a 10 minute drive or a short bus ride away (there is a bus stop not far from the apartment). Our holiday was one of the best we've had, the apartment certainly the best holiday property we have rented and we can highly recommend it.

We have just spent 10 wonderful days in this well furnished,clean apartment.I found that the apartment was really well appointed.The kitchen was of good size and had everything you could have asked for especially if you wanted to eat in & do you're own cooking.(however too many good restaurants in luz & the beautiful historic Lagos to want to bother to do that).The apartment was set back in a quite part of luz which we found to be to our liking but was an easy short stroll down the hill to the many bars/restaurants that luz had to offer. Our daughter loved the pool & even though it is shared with the other 3 apartments we found this to be no problem what so ever.In all we had a great time & would recommend this apartment to families & couples a like. Nice,good value,but not luxury!

Nice clean apartment,although we had to evict a few ants when we arrived.I would not go as far as saying it was "Luxury".The rooms were well furnished and everything you needed was there,it was also clean and tidy.It would of also been helpful if the owner would let you have two keys! I do not believe that key safes are any good in semi remote areas.It's just a short stroll into Luz,where everything can be found,restaurants,supermarkets,beach etc.
My rating for this apartment would be between 3 and 4. average to good.

Sorry about the ants, this is the first and only time we have had them but our cleaning company tell us that you just have to drop a minute piece of food on the floor and they materialise out of nowhere during the summer. Since we introduced the keys safe 3 years ago it has been a great success, however you will be please to know that it now contains 2 keys! The builder used the word ‘luxury’ when the apartment was built in 2002 and this certainly was the case then but with the general increase in standards of building over the years perhaps it should now be replaced by ‘Quality’. Thanks again for taking the time to write the review.

Great Holiday at Monte Lemos

This is a fabulous apartment for great holidays, we particularly liked the decor and it's equipped with everything you need - and more, a real home from home (in fact better than home!) The gardens and large swimming pool were beautifully maintained, as was the apartment. All this and just a short walk to the village and beach.

The owners are very helpful and the guest information book invaluable, it was a complete guide to the Algarve, including maps, info on the many fabulous beaches, golf courses, restaurants even bus and train timetables.

Praia da Luz is a beautiful village with a fantastic and safe beach, it has an oldie world Portugues feel about it but with modern facilities, a great supermarket and lots of wonderful restaurants.

We would recommend the apartment to every one and we have already booked for next year! and are looking forward to another great holiday.
