Praia da Luz / Luz holiday apartment

Apartment was spacious, clean and well maintained. Fabulous views.

Praia da Luz was lovely, unspoilt with just enough good restaurants. Beach and coastline are spectatcular.

Pool was clean - only slight downside was that it was a little cramped around the pool.

We had a great holiday and will return. Would definitely recommend it.

We absolutely love the Coraluz. It's a home away from home for us; the sort of place you can get to and and settle into with the minimum of travel hassle and find everything you need for a relaxing family holiday.

It's furnished throughout to a very good standard, so we don't feel we've had to compromise on the quality of accommodation just to get a good location. The apartment is clean and immaculate, the beds are comfortable, the baths and showers and hot water all work as you'd want them to, and the kitchen is all brilliant for preparing meals. If you go in winter the gas fire and electric heaters soon warm the place up.

The apartment faces south with great views over the bay and the sunlight floods into the main bedroom and lounge through full height sliding glass doors. You can live indoors, or out on the balcony, which is well equipped with table, chairs and loungers, while watching the kids playing in the pool.

The safe wide sandy beach is an easy pleasant minutes walk away. The nearest supermarket is well stocked and about 3 minutes walk down the road. The restaurants in Luz are good; we partcularly like the Dolphin and take-away pizzas and Jalfrezi from The Shack. Luz is a relaxed and pleasant, uncommercial, place to be. There are good walks along the coast to other little places with beaches and little restaurants and we like to drive west and walk the dramatic beaches on the Atlantic coast.

The perfect sunny holiday and we keep going back (2009 is year 4 for us). Very highly recommended.

The apartment was just like the description very spacious & comfortable. It had everything we needed. The maid cleaning service was very good & helpful. The apartment was a short walk from the supermarket which was very handy & it sold all necessary items. We loved eatng our meals out in the balcony looking out to sea listening to the waves. We could also drive down the hill & walk around the village, go to a cafe overlooking the beach & have morning coffee. The beach was fun & clean for the kids. We found the apartment was situated in an ideal location with spectacular views & it had family comforts with baby items on request to the owner. The whole family had a wonderful time.
