Sea Views:
The property is on 4th floor of a modern condominium complex. It sits opposite the old town of Lagos with panoramic views of the new marina with fantastic unspoilt sea view and beach views of the lengthy Meia Praia beach from the balcony.
If you decide to hire a car, there is an underground garage with your very own car parking space.
The complex is literally 10 minutes walk from one of the Algarve’s finest beaches, with around 4km of fine sand which is never crowded and various water-sport sites on the beach, as well as beach restaurants.
Golf Details:
As you will be aware, golfers are spoiled for choice in the Algarve. There are some great courses nearby.
There are discounted prices available for ALL courses in the Algarve.
The Palmares course is just 10 minutes up the road near the end of the Meia Praia beach which has great views of the area too. Nice to relax and enjoy the view with a light tipple of what you fancy.
Another course, Penina, designed by Henry Cotton and is a few miles East.
Quinta da Boa Vista is only a couple of miles to the west of Lagos.
Around and about Lagos region:
Exploring The western Algarve is less intensely developed than the eastern part and rewards exploration down what at times become un-paved roads. Most beaches are relatively small, bounded by rocks or cliffs (Meia Praia is an exception to the rule). An excursion or two into the hills of Sierra de Monchique is highly recommended, offering splendid views to both South and West coasts and a circuit can be done to return by the West coast, which itself is something completely different, with vast expanses of beach open to the Atlantic rollers and hardly any people. Excellent for beach games and walking. Again, this requires research and exploration to discover the accesses. At the bottom of the West coast, or nearly 30km west of Lagos, is Cape St Vincent – the most westerly point of Europe, with views of sometimes very rough seas from the top of the cliffs.
Golf:
REDUCED GREEN FEES AVAILABLE FOR ALL COURSES. All golfers know the fantastic courses climate and scenary make this one of the ideal locations in the world to play golf. As you would expect you are spoilt for choices for courses and there are numerous ones very close by. This condo is ideally located, in particular, for the western courses. Closest to the condo is Palmares Golf Course, 3 miles east of Lagos - this is partly a links course and offers stunning views of the sea and Lagos Town. BoaVista is the other side of Lagos with great views too. Ten miles west of Lagos is the Parque de Floresta Golf Course. This is a more physical challenge running through valleys and eucalyptus covered ravines - a buggy may well be deemed an essential requirement. There is Penina, the Championship Course that has been home to the Portuguese Open. Most require a handicap certificate so don't forget.
Other Activities:
Boat trips to the grottos, sail, power and sports boats for charter.
