Just a five minute drive away is the historic fishing town of Lagos, arguably the most attractive town in the Algarve. Explore Lagos’s narrow cobbled streets that open onto tiled plazas with open-air cafes and restaurants. Or take a leisurely stroll around the bustling marina where you can browse the sports cruisers and yachts or simply sit and people watch at one of the cafes. Several blue flag beaches are just a few minutes away, including the picturesque beach resort of Praia da Luz and Porto de Mos. The apartment is protected by electric roller shutters to all windows which in addition to keeping the property secure, also keeps the apartment cool during the day and ventilated during the night. There is also a garage which can be used to securely store your golf clubs. Linen and towels are provided (not beach towels). Cots and highchairs can be provided. iPod dock & high-speed wireless Internet access is also available, great for keeping in touch while on holiday. Daily maid attendance to the bedrooms and bathrooms, with a towel change mid week and weekly linen change. We can arrange a hire car for you at very competitive rates. Resort Facilities: If golf isn’t your thing, don’t be deterred. This is an ideal place for family holidays, golfers and non-golfers alike. There is an unrivalled range of leisure and sporting opportunities to suit all ages and tastes. Resort facilities include: large outdoor & indoor heated swimming pools, children's pools, two tennis courts, five a side football (football school), volleyball pitches, children's play area and landscaped gardens. Also, all our guests now get FREE access to the indoor pool, Essential Spa & Health Club (a weekly saving of €30 per person). On site there is Monte’s Restaurant & Coffee Lounge which offers gourmet blends of coffee, home baked pastries, light lunches and Mediterranean style cuisine in the restaurant. Guests also get a 10% discount at the clubhouse restaurant, which serves light meals throughout the day and offers excellent cuisine in the evening. We can arrange a hire car for you at very competitive rates.

Days Out: Take a family day out at the Slide & Splash water park or visit Zoomarine, great entertainment for all the family. From the marina you can book day trips such as dolphin safaris, its also definitely worth taking a small boat trip to visit the 'grottos' and coves. The mountain town of Monchique is approximately a forty minute drive. Heading west the picturesque fishing villages of Salema and Burgau are a 15 minute drive. Sagres & the most southwesterly point in continental Europe Cape St Vincent is around a forty minute drive. We have a great selection of good restaurants and activities to recommend. Nightlife? Don’t ask us, we prefer nice meals out.

Myself, my wife and our 13 year old daughter stayed at the apartment in April 2009.
The apartment is furnished to a really high standard, and was scrupulously clean. The maid service daily was a real bonus. The internet access was a real boon as well, as it kept our daughter in touch with her mates back home.
No gripes about the apartment at all. If I was hyper critical, a local telephone line would have helped, as none of our antiquated moblie phones worked in Portugal. Also, a car is a neccessity, as both Lagos and Luz are too far to walk. We were a little disappointed that entry to the indoor pool was at a cost (15 euro each). I believe Phil is looking into this.
The golf course is terrific, and I would say good value for money with the discount.
The meal at the golf course was average at best, but the meal at the old clubhouse across the road (the name of which escapes me, but it is just past the Careways office) was second to none. Highly recommended.
We would definitely visit this part of Portugal again, and have no hesitation re-using this apartment.

We were surprised that the clubhouse restaurant disappointed, as it is usually very good. The above mentioned restaurant in the old Boavista clubhouse is Monte's and is excellent, although quite pricey.

This is a wonderfully well kept apratment with great views of the first green and the 17th hole of the Boavista Golf Resort. The apartment is very clean and well equiped for a self catered holiday. The ammenities in the resort are all of am high standard, the availability of two outdoor and one indoor swimming pools execellent for those who have children. There are plenty of restaurants reasonably priced in the town center. The town itself is lovely and is well worth a walk around. For the golfers, you are spoilt for choice with Boavista and surronding courses all within 20 minutes drive. My only advice is to go and see 'Luis' in the town center to book the courses as the rates here are preferrable. Will be back again for sure.

Fabulous - highly recommend

We stayed in this apartment during January 2009 and were delighted with our holiday. The description and pictures were refreshingly accurate. The property was immaculately clean, spacious, well furnished and very well kitted out which was probably more important to us because of the time of year and having a one year old with us, we spent more time than usual indoors. The views from the apartment are very pleasant, probably wonderful, if you are a keen golfer which I am not. The resort is spectacular and the staff are very helpful, friendly and efficient. The leisure facilities and the spa are lovely and extremely well run. We tried everything except the golf!!

Safety and security are taken seriously. The apartment itself is very secure and onsite security is always evident but not intrusive.

There are many wonderful restaurants locally. We particularly enjoyed the Cafe do Mar on the cliff above the old walls of Lagos which is only a short drive away. The food is mainly traditional local seafood and the restaurant itself has spectacular views over the whole of Lagos.
On the self-catering front, there are a host of good supermarkets very close to the resort and whether you want to try local produce or prefer to stick to familiar products available in the UK, you will find everything you need.
Phil, the owner, is extremely helpful and everything we received from him was very clear, easily understood and precise.
I love this area of Portugal and have been a frequent visitor over the years, staying in different apartments and villas. This is, without a doubt, the best quality I have experienced. I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

First Green Appartment - Wonderful !

Our holiday was terrific and the appartment was top class.

Everything we could ask for and more and the free Wi-Fi Internet access was a real bonus (especially as phones today can use this facility to use Internet).

Only downside for us (not related to appartment) was lack of shopping facility on the resort (i.e. a small convenience store would have been helpful). However, not a problem if you have a car as shops are only 5 min drive away.

We all enjoyed ourselves and would certainly come back in future.

The special rates at the Boavista Golf were also helpful.

First class resort, and apartment, quality furnishings and fittings as well as being very very clean, great open air space in the shape of two balconies (front and back).

The views were superb as the apartment overlooks the golf course.

The clubhouse offers very good food and a great breakfast.

Looking forward to returning.
